Just Cupcakes

4.0 star rating 8/14/2017 1 check-in We used Shayna's for our 4-tiered wedding cake. Kelsey was friendly, professional, and creative! I will say, that the consultation-portion was a bit confusing (my mom and I had to ask a few clarifying questions and it didn't seem like there was an organized "itinerary" so-to-speak, for bridal consults), but overall I was happy with the experience. On the day of the wedding, the flowers from the florist delivered to decorate the cake were not exactly what Kelsey and I had discussed/envisioned. However, she managed to think creatively on her feet and still decorate my cake beautifully on the spot, maintaining our theme/style. I was so appreciative for that! Most importantly, EVERYONE at the wedding said the cake was delicious. We got vanilla buttercream with a strawberry jam filling. It was a little pricey but definitely yummy!

I received a call that "the baker quit" two days before my daughter's birthday party leaving me to scramble for another place. I got an "oh well, nothing I can do about it" attitude from the guy that called me to let me know. A professional business with one baker, no back up plan, and no real work ethic or compassion. I can see why the baker quit. Probably over worked and under paid... I would never be able to order from here again. I did give 2 stars because I will honestly say that last years cake and cupcakes were great... But again, the attitude of the guy that called me to tell me about the baker quitting stands out more to me than anything... I understand that things happen but it's all about how you conduct a business.
