Bistro Byronz

To start this is the 1st time I have been to Louisiana. I asked 2 women at the airport where I could find the best gumbo around and they told me this place. Unfortunately I have to disagree with them being I've had better in Arkansas. This gumbo was only chicken and sausage which my bowl only had 3 pieces of sausage. The oysters however we're probably the best I had being they were huge! The salad was I had which I don't recall of but had the mandarin oranges was superb. The crab cakes were horrible. All I tasted was cooking oil. I told the waitress to let the cook know his oil needed a change which she said she done so but idk being I didn't eat any more food afterwards.

Really well made rich, satisfying southern food. They have Cajun classics like gumbo and shrimp and grits, along with French inspired cuisine like steak frites, comfort food like pot roast and dumplings, and numerous hot and cold sandwich options. The decor is reminiscent of a cafe in Paris. There is a full bar and drink menu. Private room and high chairs available. Very attentive wait staff. You'll spend about $15 per person for lunch.

Well our first appetizer was wrong, had to send it back. Left with no food on the table. Then the chips came out burned. I ordered the roast beef with the mashed potatoes and green beans. It was lukewarm and that was not Cajun gravy it tasted like packaged gravy and there was nothing special about the roast beef. And I would have thought there would have been bread served with the roast beef since it was like a dinner. My glass was never refilled. Slow night and slow service. I give y'all a zero I won't be back

I came for a birthday party. This was my second visit. The atmosphere is french bistro, trendy but can also be casual. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits. This entree was very delicious and full of Shrimp. The prices are a little more than the average place, but I think the what I ordered was worth the price. Service was okay as the restaurant was busy, and we were with a large group. We will visit again!

Food was great. I got the fried shrimp poboy, which was huge and delicious. No complaints from the four other people in our party about food quality with various dishes. I think they have yet to establish an experienced wait staff, however. I will go back, and I hope by then they have improved service.
