The worst drive thru associate at 4:30 pm, she was rude and unorganized did not get the order correctly Didn't bring out the right things. Ordered : a shrimp basket with broccoli (didn't get the broccoli) Didn't receive the seafood gumbo, ordered: 2 1/3 Burger combos (DIDN'T RECEIVE THE DRINKS) ordered 1/2 Burger combo (DIDN'T RECEIVE THE DRINK) lightly battered fried Green tomatoes they taste like sweet pickles and were greasy . Shrimp was good.

Came for the crawfish & they didn't disappoint! They were good size and seasoned well.. not too hot, but a lot of flavor. For some reason, a lot of the places are now cooking them so hot we can't eat them (and my husband can eat some pretty HOT food). These had a little heat, but weren't overly hot. The service was great too.

Shane's always has great gumbo & seafood! We visited last afternoon & it wasn't busy. Our waitress, Bug, was very friendly & attentive with every customer in her section. My wife enjoyed her crawfish, $5.99lb. The smoked boudin sausage was delicious!My boiled shrimp was good as well, presented differently as it was boiled with no seasoning & season added after it came out. Store was neat & clean while remodeling the outside.

I have gone to Shane’s for years. However since the lockdown I have not gotten a good plate of food on either of the four times I’ve gone. I got a 1/2 chicken where the skin was inedible. I thought it was early (11:30 am). Maybe it was reheated. I tried again a couple months later at dinner time it was literally too dry to eat. Next I ordered a brisket and sausage plate a few months later and I got chicken and sausage. Still could not eat the chicken it was old. Today, my final attempt, I ordered a pound of brisket and a quart of beans. The brisket is not done. It is tough as h$&@. I have never had their beans so over spiced. Then there’s the different price if you pay cash or use you card. I paid $27 for food that is inedible. I have to find a better BBQ joint in south Shreveport. Never again😟

Went through the drive thru 2 days ago for a small item. I was told 5.99 if I paid with cash or it would be more with a card. I was a little thrown off, but looked & I had a $100 bill in my wallet. I asked if he could break that. Drove up & got my change, which at my fault I did not count. I don’t usually carry or pay with cash. He said sorry about all of the 1s. Today I went into that cash for the first time, and realized all I had was 14 $1 bills. I immediately called Shane’s & explained the story, asked if they were over on their register. He told me no they weren’t & there was no way to prove what I was trying to say.. so after being coaxed into paying with cash or being charged more for a little bowl of red beans & rice, it then ends up costing me another $80 over my meal. I literally took my change & immediately put it back into my wallet, where it all sat until today. When I realized all I had was $14 1s. I still have my receipt from my purchase but I realize there’s now no way to prove I didn’t get correct change. So don’t be fooled & pay with cash people!!

Everything was ok but I'm from further south and the seafood is much different. To me the crawfish and shrimp were bland. The Crab didn't taste fresh. It was my wife and Is' first time there so we bought a bunch of different options. It seemed like the crawfish hasn't soaked long enough to absorb any flavor and the shrimp tasted like it was boiled in plan water. It's a nice place though with a bunch of options and the service was as good as it gets. We haven't been back but I know folks enjoy it so my review really only helps anybody with south Louisiana taste buds. There's simply not too much legit Cajun food here.
