Great Wall Chinese Restaurant

We used to dine here all the time but quit going when the world shut down. Last night we went here for the first time in a long time and there wasn’t any other dine in patrons except us. I’m not sure what has changed but this place used to be packed. The prices have gotten high but that is literally everywhere! The paper plate dining is a turn off so they may be part of the problem. The hot and sour soup is better than anyone else’s in town that I have tried. I could eat two bowls of it. Make sure if you ask for a complete plate that you understand if they ask you for egg roll and you say yes that you will not be getting a crab Rangoon as listed on the menu. The fried rice is one of the worst in town I would not recommend it. I got the Mongolian beef and the flavor is delicious except for the fact that it is extremely spicy. I boxed mine up to take home to my husband. The dumplings are big but should be for $10.95 and I asked for fried and I’m pretty sure they were steamed. I didn’t care for their texture nor taste but the kids seemed to like them. I’ll go back for the soup and maybe some sesame chicken in the future.

I love this place. They don't know me from a can of paint. But everytime I go there they make me feel wanted an at ease. The guy that works there his so sweet an nice. The ladies, I thinking it's the daughter, mother an grandma. The grandma prepare all the vegetables why the daughter and the mother is in the back cooking the food smells so amazing. The last time I came here I had my back teeth pulled and I wanted some of that soup they fixed me a big container of soup and fix my meal where I can be able to eat my broccoli I love broccoli if you ask them anything up on request they would do it for you they are so very sweet people an so homey like. I don't mind bringing my money and spending it here you will have a wonderful time. I promise.

The food is really good here. We dined in, not fond of paper plates for a dine in experience, just not for me. Other people might be fine with it but for the cost of lunch, I would expect real plates. I probably will not go back, even with the fact that the food was good, I just do not like eating out at a restaurant on paper plates.

Great food and fast, friendly service. But the prices have become outrageous! It was just me, my exhusband, our 12 year old daughter, and my 5 year old daughter and the bill was over $75! For 2 adults and 2 children! That's insane. I mean the food is good but it's not good enough for that expense. We could've eaten cheaper at Outback Steakhouse

Will we return? HECK YES! Best fried rice and noodles around! It is literally a little great “hole in the wall” Great Wall! We live in east Texas and used to get the best fried rice from Henderson and that place has since shut down due to them retiring and we have not found rice that good until now! Now I wish we traveled t Shreveport more often. Haha! But if you’re looking for good food, this is the place to go!
