Bistro Suisse

I had the striploin with creamy peppercorn sauce and my dining partner had the legendary wienerschnitzel. The steak was so good I almost cried. It was sizable and cooked perfectly medium rare all the way through. The sauce for the steak was amazing and was similar to their mushroom sauce which came with the schnitzel. I would highly recommend this restaurant; the service and quality of food were top notch. They have limited seating so reservations are recommended, but they were able to seat us right away later on a Sunday evening.

Our hostess/server was outstanding. Superb professional service. Had the mussel special for an appetizer and they were overcooked, dry and very salty. Disappointed... I love mussels and these were not good. We had the lamb snitzel and it was flavorful and came with a nice ceasar salad. Service gets 5 stars...food gets 3 stars.

A wonderful spot and the best place for dinner in the beautiful town of Sidney. The service is good, the staff are welcoming and the decor is charming. Always nice to have a fresh rose at your table on a date. Delicious authentic Swiss cuisine and large hearty portions. I always order the pork schnitzel and at $25 dollars you get two large perfectly fried schnitzels, red cabbage, spatzel and vegetables. Whenever you are craving some schnitzel this is your place.

One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Cute location with pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff. We ordered the raclette to start and schnitzel for mains and they were divine. Each bite of the cabbage that came on the side transported me back to my childhood. I can't wait to come back, just wish it could be sooner!

This Swiss restaurant is superb. The decor is pleasant alpine; the menu ism of leather with a cow bell. The French Onion Soup, with a touch of Brandy, was delightful; the Wienerschnitzel so tender, and the dessert taster plates providing a signature finish. The check is delivered in a leather wallet. The staff was efficient and very courteous.

Great food and service. Nice and quiet setting. Furniture needs an upgrade. Good prices and generous portions. I had the quiche and BLT which had the perfect amount of bacon. Not too much. Not too less. Ideal level of crispy. The cream of asparagus soup was thick and tasty. Not too salty like some places make them.

Bistro Suisse is an intimate restaurant in downtown Sidney BC with an authentic feel of the Alps. The decor is quintessential Switzerland. The owner and staff are lovely, attentive and thorough. One feels special dining here. The specialty is schnitzel of many different styles...they offer all the facourites. It was delicious. The spetzle was excellent and authentic. I started with the french onion soup. Best ever. Cheese was melted perfection over amazing onion soup. They have an extensive wine list and several European beers. We were too full to try one of their decadent looking desserts.
