Magal Bbq

The service staff were efficient and friendly! Food tastes awesome, side dishes were plentiful and I really liked the egg that came together with the bbq! There was a cute beef sushi dish they served too, not sure if it was extra or included? But we had 3 people and they served two pieces :( The ambiance is perfect for a group gathering. Only down side is the portion for the meat is rather small for the price. Meat platter is almost $70 but could be more meat?

Came here on a tues night. It was quiet, and could get a seat instantly. Tried this restaurant, after having multiple failed attempts at other restaurants. Food was decent but nothing to shout about, or special. Ordered the special set, 3 types of beef + 1 type of pork. Came with 2 small pieces of beef sushi/kimbap thing, and 1 bowl of soy bean soup. Sides are free flow. Meat was 400g. Costed us 70++. It was overall okay. Service from the only(?) waiter, was friendly and helpful. And we did not come out smelling like we bbqed ourselves.

Food items were not bad for taste. Slightly pricey since I've had more quantity of on-par quality meat at this price point. Interesting wide range of side dishes and have interesting cheese egg outer layer. Reason for 2 missing star was because service from 1 of the two staff is very bad. He seem to be the manager of the shop (older guy with spectacles on) who pretended not to see me and my friends whom was requesting for help. Side dishes (including plain lettuce which is only given 5-7 pieces) was not refillable unless you meet the minimum spend of $40/pax. We were only a few dollars away from this requirement but it took us a few times to get a proper explanation from the more friendly staff for this unspoken requirement. Would recommend for this min. spend requirement to be indicated in the menu.

One of the few businesses that choose greed over customer’s enjoyment, I guess business is business. Do note when coming here, that you will need a pretty high minimum spend to get access to refills for everything on the table, including lettuce for your meat… missing it by a dollar per person, even in a big group, doesn’t give you any consolation, even if spending several hundred dollars. Service was poor, they were clearly understaffed. Food was alright, but given the price, poor service, greed, I’d say there are better options elsewhere.

Service was great, food was still acceptable except the cockles bibimbap. That was rather disappointing because i was so looking forward to it and it didnt taste anything special. It was a mix of different flavours like soy sauce and fish sauce and couldnt really put the taste together. I love korean food alot but i'll give this a benefit of doubt since i never tasted the original one from korea. Could be a seasonal thing. But the pyeongyang naengmyeon was so good!! Loved it alot. Meat wise, quite normal and good quality beef. Came with free doenjang soup and seaweed soup, all which was good. Will be back to try other menus.

Was craving for Korean bbq and went down to Tanjong Pagar slightly after 2pm. Found out most shops would close at 2.30pm. Luckily found this shop which open till 3.30pm. Initially intended to order only 2 types of pork as there were only 2 of us. Was informed by staff that the minimum order for bbq is 3 plates of meat. They recommended to try their pork combo. The food was served quickly. The meat were fresh and marinated well. There were also free serving of side dishes and cold tea.

Decent service, provides quality meat for bbq !!! We oredered beef combo (large) and all my friends were satisfied about the taste. Meat was well-marinated, soft and tender. I also like the idea of cheese-egg thing being served along with the meat as well. Side-dishes were also nice and had lots of variety. Might be a bit pricy, but it is definitely worth the price for real authentic Korean dining experience in SIngapore. (I tell you there's a lot of not-so-authentic ones that only makes money off from "Korean brand value" It's a must-try if you want to try proper Korean cuisine in here.
