Rickshaw Road

What a find. Always passed it and wondered what it was like! So we went in. What a find! Best Southern Indian food we've had for a long time. Don't be put off with looks, it's large and a bit themed, but come in and wonder at the choice and tastes of Southern India. The portions are generous so be warned. It's fresh, cooked for you right there and if you choose well I bet the tastes will be new to most. When busy it's a little like tapas-time, comes when ready. But that only means that you will see what others have and you will have food-envy! A few pics here but they won't do RR justice. Just go, if nothing else have the chops and any of the Dosa choices. The Fish curry was also great.

First time here with my family.Food was amazing what made it special was the waitress Anna with her great hospitality and customer service which made us felt welcomed and comfortable, In turn made the whole day special. It was my mums birthday so she brought us little something to make my mum feel special. Would definitely recommend for sure.The vibe and music is also fantastic to come with your family for chilled vibe.

First time we visited Rickshaw Road. Great location. For a Saturday it was very quiet. Excellent decor and layout. Menu looked good with lots of choices. Food arrived quick. It was tasty and good quality. Down side. For the price the food quantity was not good. We paid £40 for two adults and 2 kids for a mixed grill. 1 curry dish (small) Chips and two Nans. The service was poor. Waitress served us and disappeared, no crayons or activities for the kids. Would we come again. No, not when you can get lots of other options close by with a lots more food.

Excellent new restaurant which emulates the casual Indian feel of places like Dishoom Android has a bright and fun setting (with an auto-rickshaw/tuktuk at the entrance). Lots of South Indian dishes. The biryani is authentic Hyderabad style. Fried chilli idli and chilli chicken were also good. Gulabjamun was also good. Service was very good except one blip with the type of biryani. Probably the best restaurant in the town centre right now.

Authentic Indian food taste. I hv been to many so called Indian cuisine but none matches the taste and quality of food to Rickshaw Road. I seen reviews from others who talk about heavily priced restaurants but if one need authentic taste of Indian food then price is at par. Perfect ambience and place to spend good time with family and friends.
