Mezeh

Loved this place from the moment is stepped inside. It was clean, inviting and the ambiance was perfect. The food was beautiful, crisp and fresh. I can’t wait to learn more about Mediterranean food—I didn’t understand the sauces and the clerk didn’t understand me so I didn’t get a clear explanation. Some of the sauces tasted bland, but I’m willing to try again.

This was the first time eating at this restaurant for both my husband and I. Everyone was so helpful and had great suggestions to add to our bowls. Ome was super welcoming as well and had the best customer service I’ve ever received anywhere. Ome even checked on us after our meal to make sure everything was good! The restaurant was clean, the food was amazing and the entire vibe was great. We will absolutely be coming back again!

This was my first time trying this place, and I was pleasantly surprised. The food at this Mezeh location was very fresh, flavorful, plus offered options for different dietary needs (GF, diabetic, vegan). Service is similar to Chipotle, where you tell them what to add to your bowl/wrap as they walk down the line of containers. When they ran out of falafel, he came back with some freshly made. It was delicious! We went for a late (7:30 pm) dinner, and there was a steady stream of customers both eat-in and carry out. This is my new favorite carry out spot, and I’ll return soon!

I have been to countless Mediterranean restaurants in the greater Washington DC / Springfield, VA area. I consider myself an expert in Mediterranean cuisine - I am from the region and struggle to find the same ingredients, spices, texture, and presentation from my homeland. However, this Mezeh located on Old Keene Mill Rd in Springfield, VA is far and away #1. The cuisine is fresh and delicious; the establishment is always spotlessly clean. The driver of the success of this location is Chef Ome, who is a prime example of friendliness, professionalism, and he is a consummate master at his craft, especially his falafel. It is for these reasons that I give this Mezeh location and Chef Ome specifically my highest recommendation!

I have really enjoyed this place as it is always fresh and the people that work there are very nice. Omi was excellent at the register and answered a lot of my questions, he was great. Food is fresh and great rice. The only reason it did not get 5 stars is that you get a much bigger portion of food/bowel if you eat there rather than take out. I have done both and they give you more food for the same price if you eat there and get one of their hard bowls.

Tasty food with plenty of selections/ingredients that allows you to customize your meal per your ever changing desires. I tried their chicken kebab and falafel and both were tasty and authentic. Their wrap, pita or bowl add-on ingredients are fresh and flavorful. Get as many as your heart and palate desire or keep it simple; you can't go wrong! I would recommend not adding more than a handful of ingredients otherwise it becomes an unidentifiable heap of a meal. Their baklava is sweet and buttery. Comparable to Cava. Cava limits the number of items you can add (which might be a good thing). And I do prefer Cava slightly more than Mezze. But I highly recommend both! Change things up, try both!

Love the food! Set up in a line where you can pick your own combination of food ingredients- listed as spicy hummus and the servers can explain the options. excellent bowls; it is a little overwhelming at first when the people in line know exactly what they want, but I like the set up. The dining area usually has more people dining in, but I think that everyone was just trying to stay out of the cold and take food home, like we were. I've been here during the summer and there are many outdoor seating options also. There was one or two people in line also getting take out options, but the line moves fairly quickly. Great place- totally recommend for a casual night out/take out food!
