Steak 'n Shake

Driving through Illinois and remembered how great Steak and shake was....yes WAS! It tasted like dog food and had no flavor on the fries and the shake tasted like it had something else in it that was putrid. Talk about jumping the shark to the quality is used to be. The meat use to be meat but this was something totally different. YUK! I suggest you rethink this food for life.

The worst Steak 'n Shake I've ever been too. We asked for double steakburgers with everything. Where I live they have lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickle, onion, mustard and ketchup...They only had mustard and ketchup on them and the buns were hard. It was awful! I've never been to a Steak 'n Shake this terrible in my life! Do not recommend!

First time at a Steak 'n Shake. I got the double cheeseburger and my husband ordered the Horseshoe, which is a site-specific dish. I liked the burger and the fries were pretty good. The Horseshoe was basically a plate with white bread, hamburger, a mess of fries and some lightly-flavored cheese sauce over the whole thing. Would not order that again because it was rather bland and we prefer bolder flavors. The service was outstanding. Both the young man who took our order and the manager were friendly and helpful. I wish the manager had been wearing a mask. All the other employees were wearing them. Both the interior and exterior could use some attention. Neither were particularly clean.

Food was good me and the wifey went there for dinner tonight haven't had it in a while shorten the Good Burger I had to chili at a butter burger chili was kind of cold the butter burger I don't know it was good there was a lot of butter on it but I would have thought it would have been a little bit more melted. Still overall had a good night
