Sonic Drive-in

Very good order was right this time. I hadn't been here in a long time because my orders had constantly been wrong or missing food and cold. But tonight food was perfect. Service was fast and good. Wasn't extremely busy but wasn't slow. I've gone in the past year when its only been me or another car and the food was wrong completely or was overcharged or waited over a half hour for a simple breakfast sandwhich. So the team on tonight great job.

Bomb food I had lunch with my man, I've always wanted to eat there I just never knew we had one in Massachusetts. I was amazed to see one right across the street from Walmart it was great. The ice cream especially the peanut butter one if the dye for in the burgers the double cheese with bacon burger oh my God it's takes you like 10 minutes to eat it but it's so worth it at the end in the tater tots was so good to. And I was pregnant all I wanted to do is eat there their breakfast and lunch and ice cream so when I could but it's exactly where I went and that was an overall good experience.

I've been coming every day for a few months now, and 90% of the time every thing is fresh and good, however once and a rare while something is hard and clearly not fresh or possibly overcooked, whether it be a pretzel or a bun, etc, it's sometimes rock hard. On the rare occasions that the food is inedible 50% of the time I just throw it out and feel annoyed I wasted money on food I couldn't eat, but the other half the time I'll go back and ask for it fresh. I honestly can't remember the last time I've had to ask to have something fixed, but today I was given a problem because 1 of the 4 pretzels I ordered wasn't fresh and I wanted a new fresh one. The employee was mad, and said "I do that all the time" and that he'd "do me the favor this once" . I don't think it's too much to ask for food that is fresh or not over cooked. And I don't think just because I eat there more often than others that I shouldn't be allowed to ask for my food to be fixed. Yeah, maybe I have had 3-5 times that I've had to have food fix, but when you have 90 visits that's not much.

I loved Sonic when I was growing up. After finding myself in Springfield and without a car, my girlfriend and I decided to walk down and eat in the dining room. After hours of transit and walking in the hot Summer day specifically to eat here, the dining room was closed. The only outdoor seating were picnic tables in direct sunlight. With a severe sunburn that simply wouldn't do. Understandably upset at having my time wasted, I tried to take a minute to cool off and improve my attitude. Sadly, in less than a minute I had Sonic staff evicting me from the property. His tone was rude and dismissive, he treated me like a common vagrant or troublemaker, even though I was about to be a customer! I am still flabbergasted, I can't believe pedestrians aren't even allowed to have public emotions outside of a restaurant without being forcibly removed. I will probably return, as this is the only local Sonic drive-in, but I will definitely treat the staff that were on duty today as poorly in the future as I was treated today.

We were out shopping and decided to stop at the Sonic on Boston Rd in Springfield. Biggest mistake ever! They took our meal order right away over 20 minutes later I had to push the order button to ask if we have to go in to pick our order up she said no it would be out soon. Ridiculous for fast food! When it finally came out we were missing our fries the food was cold. I push the button to inform them that we were missing our fries she said someone will be right out with them. No one ever came out after 10 minutes we left! So sad the service and food was not good at all!

The food was great, but they need to improve the situation with ordering. The only part of the restaurant that was open was the drive-thru (which is unfortunate, but ok). However, all of the ordering screens at the drive-in bays were on, and many people attempted to order from them before being told they were not open. Many people also tried to go into the restaurant only to find the door locked after parking. There were no signs to say that only the drive-thru was open. This exact situation occurred twice across two visits weeks apart. It is one star service to care so little for your customers that they do not even put up a simple sign and switch off the ordering screens at the drive-in bays. People were wasting 5-10 minutes trying to order from the drive-in only to then have to go to the bottom of the line at the drive-thru. Ridiculous.
