Hardee's

I've lived in Springfield for five years and I've attempted to enjoy Hardee's on three separate occasions. The first time: My wife and I went through the drive-thru. We placed our order, pulled up to the window and paid. We were told that it would be a while longer until our food was ready and was asked to park in a reserve spot. Thirty-five minutes go by. I get out, enter the building and walk up to the counter. Eventually, a young man comes over and addresses me and I tell him that we've been waiting on our food for thirty-five minutes. He says, "....okay." As I'm standing there waiting, I notice that not only is the drive-thru line completely backed up and all of the reserve spots full, but the designated area behind the counter with all of the food ready to be handed out is piled up with various wrapped food items to the point where they are spilling out onto the counter and onto the floor. Only one member of the staff seemed to be putting any real effort into getting people's orders out. She was running pack and forth, picking up food items and asking the young man, "who does this go to??" to which he would reply, "......I dunno." Fifteen minutes pass and my wife comes in, understandably upset. We're finally handed our food, which is now cold and hard. She tells the young man that she'd like to speak to the manager. He just stares at her blankly and says, ".......well....she's in the back...." and continues to stand there staring at her. She says, "well, can you go and get her?" He does. The manager steps up to the counter, looking very clearly put-out and inconvenienced. My wife informs her that we had to wait over forty-five minutes for cold hard food. She says to my wife, "well, what do you want me to do about it?" in a very abrasive way. My wife tells her that we want our order hot and fresh like we paid for. FIVE MINUTES LATER, she comes back with our order remade. As if it were that easy all along. As she's handing my wife the bag, she calls out very obnoxiously and very loudly, "thank you SOOOO much for choosing Hardee's." On the way towards the door, my wife says to me, "we're never coming back here again," which the manager overheard and loudly replied, "GOOD!" I hope against hope that this woman has since found Jesus, or something. Anyways... A year later, we went back a second time. Pretty much the same level of service as before, only we didn't complain. We just took our food and left, understanding that it's just the way it goes with the Springfield Hardee's. Another year goes by, I say to the wife, "I'm gonna give this one more try." We pull up to the speaker. Does the guy say, "Thank you for choosing Hardee's, order when you're ready?" No, no he doesn't. He suddenly blurts out something, I think it might have been, "HARDEE'S!!" Confused, I wait for a second before saying, "....hello?" He replies, "....howdy." I shake off that nonsense and proceed with my order, only to be immediately told, "yeah, we're outta that." I say, "have a nice day," and drive off. Three times in three years is enough for me. The Wendy's here in Springfield has fantastic service, and the McDonalds is right up there with them. I can't wrap my head around whatever's going on with the Hardee's. Don't really need to. Hardee's is just simply not on the table for us. Not an option.

Really great place to eat, however with every Hardee's this is no different overly priced but still really good food. Staff is awesome I'm not sure who the Manager is but she is the best I've seen at a Hardee's. Food was nice and hot as well as fresh. A-1 burger is just the tip of this menu and it's a new item.
