Huhot Mongolian Grill

Party of 7 for dinner and it was a Great experience. We ordered appetizers: pot stickers and fried shrimp. The pot stickers came out crunchy and were the best. Coke products…so order yourself a root beer. They offer gloves to use while handling utensils for your ingredients. Awesome choices of meat: shrimp, pork, chicken and beef. Great variety of veggies. Choice of rice or two types of noodles. There is also variety of sauces that range in different levels of spicy. The line to the grill moves quickly and efficiently. It was actually satisfying to watch. There is not much options of dessert . The only option was soft serve ice cream…chocolate or vanilla on a cone. Get a refill of your root beer and make yourself a float.

Tried here for the first time yesterday. People were raving about how good it is. For me and my family, it was mediocre. It’s pretty pricy even if it is all you can eat, the price isn’t worth the quality of the food. The food wasn’t bad, but this place is like one giant experiment it’ll take a few times for you to find what you actually like a lot. That was one thing I didn’t like. If you are going to pay for food it should be something you like. You just don’t know if it’s going to be good if you’ve never tried it before. There are so many sauces, oils, broths to choose from and that’s what makes the flavor of the meal. If you make your meal and you don’t like the sauce you chose you are basically eating something that’s just not that great. If you don’t put any sauce or anything on your meal then it’ll be bland since nothing is seasoned. That’s the downfall of a place like this. I also didn’t like that they didn’t have someone attending the area you get your food from. If people have allergies it’s definitely not the place to come. People drop veggies and meats in the other veggies and meat stations, someone dropped sauce in the rice which I have no idea how that could happen since the sauce is nowhere near the rice. The sauce counter had sauce spilled everywhere so you have to watch your clothes. I also didn’t like that nobody really wore the gloves that are provided at the buffet. Lots of cross contamination going on here. Just wasn’t my cup of tea. I would recommend people trying it out, the staff is really friendly, and the food wasn’t bad, but if I’m going to pay $16.49 for a meal it better be fantastic and it just wasn’t that. Plus if you don’t eat a lot you still pay that price and that’s not worth it either.

This is the fifth time I have been to HuHot. Unfortunately I have to give this place a two-star rating. It is a horrible design inside of the restaurant when getting your Mongolian barbecue. Every time I have been there they are always out of rice and most of the time the noodle container is empty. They are supposed to have shrimp but unfortunately they wait until it is totally out and then it takes about 10 minutes before they fill it up again if they fill it up. They are also constantly out of other meats and vegetables and weight until they are completely empty before filling them up. This is disappointing because the lines are so long you cannot stand there and wait. They don't seem to have enough waitresses to where you get your drink on time or get a refill unless you waive them down and ask them to bring it. It's still takes a while to get your drink after waving them down. The floors are so covered with sauce. I would advise you do not wear nice shoes in this place. You will be very disappointed when you have to get them cleaned afterwards. They do not ever have anybody wiping the counters down so there is sauce everywhere. Once the food is cooked it is pretty good. Unfortunately this time some of my food was still frozen after they cooked it. Almost every time I have been here I have left disappointed and feeling a little bit upset.
