Plaza Mexican Bar And Grill

This is our "go to" Mexican restaurant. The staff is so friendly and prompt, the food is always presented well, tasty and satisfying. But let's hear it for the delicious libations - our favorites are the fresh coconut mojitos (with real, fresh coconut!) and the cucumber jalapeño margaritas with chile lime salt. Someday we might try something different from the bar. We are welcomed at the door - it's nice to be greeted like old friends!

I'm from out of town, and I swear I was in Mexico eating this delicious food. My friend swore by this place, said everything is great, and it did not disappoint. The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. If you're visiting State College/Penn State and love amazing food, you gotta come here, it's a slam dunk!

I've only been here twice but both times were great. The prices are on par with any other mid priced restaurant. The food is in big portions and always served hot. The staff is always great. They always interact with my children (currently 2 and 6) and make them laugh as well as converse with me and my wife. This is on my list of favorite State College restaurants.

A go to for my boyfriend and I for date night! We absolutely love this place. Food comes out CRAZY fast, and you get chips and salsa while you wait (highly recommend ordering queso too, SO good). We love the chicken empanadas for an appetizer. My boyfriend loves to get the Molcajete Azteca. It stays hot because it comes in a hot lava stone bowl and there's always leftovers for the next day! So it's definitely worth it for the price. This is also one of the only restaurants where I don't always get the same thing every time I go. And, if you're over 21, definitely get the corona margarita!
