Chumley's Bar

It is a tiny space in the heart of State College downtown. However, as tiny as it was, they had live music. There was a group of Latin@s and Eric (who is American) playing wonderful music of South America. The bar is cozy and opened to everyone. I order a couple of Grand Marnier in the rocks and a basket of nachos (which come from the restaurant next door).

No bomb drinks are served at this bar. You can get some Great mixed drinks like the Red Headed Sluts, Long Island Ice Teas or some good Tequila here!! I came here for the first time New Years Eve 2019. Watched the ball drop and had free champagne. I enjoyed my visit. I had wonderful people sitting on the stools next to me and really enjoyed the atmosphere. I met Ellen and Justin at the bar which was pretty busy for this New Years 2019. This is a small venue. Yet has alot of character. I will most definitely be back for another visit soon. They are located on E.College Ave. And Allen Street State College. Karen Temple Artist/Sculptor

I've been going to Chumley's for the last 11 years, ever since I turned 21. It's a wonderful place staffed by some of the nicest people I have ever met. The negative reviews are from individuals riding the coattails of another, who clearly was spouting nonsense about this amazing place. Though I haven't lived in State College for several years, anytime I am in town to visit, I make sure to stop here and see the familiar faces that have always been so warm and welcoming.
