Burrito Bar

My wife and I went to Burrito Bar for dinner since we haven’t been there in a long while and we where disappointed with the service we received. The guacamole was nasty and looked very slimy as if it was old. The server was not pleasant I had to wave her down or have another server get her. When I received the receipt it had a 20% gratuity already included which was wrong with the service we received. Seems like the place lost its touch with food the tacos we had the carnitas and steak were very hard as if it was left overs. We will not be going back and we really like this place in the past.. Note the place was not even crowded for the service they provided…

I can’t believe I’m even writing this. I loved this place, I have been here a handful of times. Today will be my last, I order the “light my fire” burrito and after a few bites I feel something In my mouth other than steak. Luckily I didn’t bite down hard or else I would have chipped my tooth, it was a rock. I was shocked, I asked the person I was having dinner if I was seeing things correctly, she confirmed it was a rock. We asked for a manger, our waitress came instead. My burrito was comped, I wasn’t going to finish it anyway… but we never spoke to a manager. Im appalled that I found a rock in my burrito and the managements lack of concern.

I went to sit outside, was told a server would come bring me a menu. Sat for a few mins to have someone come up to me and say if I sat outside I’d have to order from the bar or else I’d have to sit inside. I decided to sit inside and was told I could sit anywhere inside. Picked a seat, waited a few mins before someone brought me chips and salsa. Waited more than 10 mins before I flagged someone down to ask if someone was going to take my order. Was told I had to order at the bar. This would have been fine if I was told this in the first place but was not! I left. Staff should learn to communicate better with their patrons.

The St. George Theatre is so thankful to The Burrito Bar for being a restaurant sponsor at our May 7, 2022 gala. Kim & Andrew are always wonderful to work with . The food was presented beautifully and of course DELICIOUS. No wonder they're one of our favorite SI restaurants!!! And did I mention they make the best margueritas AND guacamole? Thank you ~ Thank you ~ Thank you ~ not only for having a great restaruant and great staff but for being so community minded. We are so grateful for all you do. Overrated. This place should not be recognized or categorized as a Mexican restaurant. Let's start off with the drinks, got cocktails with casamigo anejo; watered down, tasteless, over priced and overall very weak. Ordered the calamari which was good, the "tortilla" chips were iced cold. Ordered the tinga tacos and made the mistake of adding rice and beans to it, the tacos did not have any Tinga flavor, the rice and beans were a joke, refried beans; looked and tasted like sopa and had american shredded cheese sprinkled on top. If you want to over pay for overrated, horrible, and so called Mexican food, then sure this is place is for you.
