Klein Joostenberg Picnics

Yesterday was hot so we were looking for a place to cool down. Along the R304, what a nice venue? We tasted some beers and then chilled for the afternoon. The place is even dog friendly. Two dogs came to visit. Woof woof. The bar lady Chelsea was great with conversation and made us feel at home. On Sunday 6 March. Joined the garden for a nice lunch. Saw that they were well busy so that means the food is great and people keep coming back for more. After a delicious meal went to the taproom to have some of that light and delicious cider. When I was sitting enjoying my drink, Chelsea came and said hi. Thought I would have been forgotten since the last visit as many people come and go there. Nice to be remembered.

If you're spending your Saturday micro brewery hopping in the Stellenbosch/Paarl area, this spot is a great place to start. Catch an early rugby game and order a beer tasting board to experience what's available on tap. Light meals are also available at the tap room and if you're in the mood for something a little more substantial, the bistro is a few steps away. Klein Joostenburg is also a great family venue. Bring the kids and let them enjoy the rolling green lawns and play area.

Great outing for the family and a safe venue for social distancing....head to the bar get a few cold ones and hit the outdoor area under the trees. And get the picnic options..great value for money for the picnic food compared to some of the wines farm offerings.try the Boland platter. Kids can run around and play and you can chill in the shade. Tried the devils peak brewery zero. What a pleasure !!. Will be back. Good day was had by all.

Great place to spend a relaxed day. The gardens are huge... best to take a blanket to sit on the grass as the benches seem to fill up fast... or be reserved early. There are geese and horses and a lovely pond. The drinks are affordable and you order pay and collect from the counter so service is efficient. We also had flat bread pizzas shared as a snack which was really good!! Try the pina colada beer... it's good.

Had an amazing time at the Stellenbosch Brewing Company. We did the beer tasting with 6 beers. Laid back atmosphere and excellent service. A special mention to Todd who gave us a tour of the brewery, he was very informative and easy going, we learnt a lot about beer making. Perfect place for kids as well. We will be back!

I deal with Stellies as one of our suppliers and they are legitimately my favourite, because they are so easy to work with. I have never had any problem with either service or product but, even if i did, the team is made up of people I actually enjoy dealing with and the company always seems to have their *stuff* together so, touch wood, I expect that the experience would still be pretty fantastic. All in all, if a rep walks in to your business, seriously consider this brand, especially if you are a local business.
