White Hart Pub And Grill

Every small town's classic dive. You want upholstery stapled to the booths? Food that reminds you of losing your sense of taste due to Covid? A general sheen of grease like there is nothing they can due to scrub the stain of regulars who skip out on their tabs? If grey, raggedy mops and deep fry oil the shade of engine oil from a 1972 Ford Ltd come to mind, you're envisioning it correctly. It's an experience. Do it once for nostalgia.

This used to be the Bear Creek Pub now under new management as The White Hart Pub & Grill. When we walked into this very small pub, it reeked of beer. We decided to sit out in the enclosed patio otherwise I couldn't have tolerated the smell. The patio was heated and there was a pool table in half the space. The menu is quite small but offers the usual pub food. It was the weekend, so we decided on the special - bangers and mash. The portion was quite generous but too salty for my taste. We came in behind a large table so our food took a little longer. There was only one server and a bartender so the service was a bit slow. The server tried to be friendly but was frazzled. The women's bathroom was messy. Don't think I'll be back unless the reviews show a big improvement.

Was good Sunday breakfast . Was stayed to have a few drink. Was also a Elvis/Johnny show had no idea was going on. We tried to order food after the show started ...but I guess we would have to pay cover before we ordered. I just wish they had a last call or even told us we needed to pay cover. Oh well we finished our drinks, Tipped Elvis and left. But over all great place.
