Bertie's Cafe

I stumbled over this lovely Cafe whilst on my was to another and so glad that I did. It's owned by Sam whom I had the pleasure of meeting. My friend and I had a small breakfast and a skinny late and I had to pay my compliments to the chef. Served with my favorite brown seeded bread and the rest was also scrumptious and fresh. No frozen foods used and feshly cooked by Sam who is actually a qualified nurse! It was great to hear her story about how she moved to Swansea and started the business just before lockdown and thankfully she's survived! I wished her all the best and told her that I will be her number 1 customer as I was so impressed. I will need to try the Sunday lunch soon and also she will be serving Xmas lunch from 1st December so I would recommend anyone to pop in and see for yourself! See you soon. Maria and Debbie xx

We came as a family of 5 on Sunday we were on holiday, they were busy doing Sunday lunch but we all fancied traditional breakfast. We hardly waited at all drinks were brought over straight away and food not long after, we thought we would be waiting a while as it was busy but no, staff was extremely friendly nothing to much trouble. The breakfast was absolutely amazing highly recommended. Thankyou for the lovely food and for making are visit a good one 😊

My husband and I called in for lovely meals today. My husband had a breakfast with all gluten free items including toast. And I had egg and chips. All as usual (as we ve called in many times) piping hot, delicious and served quickly, efficiently and with such a friendly manner by the owners son (owners not in today, having well earned day off). He could not do enough for not just us but for everyone there and it was really busy. Hardly surprising. As food always plentiful, reasonably priced and delicious. With service amazing. Felt for the man who was cooking all the food out back by himself but he still managed to crack a few jokes with his colleagues and told me that tho he looks like the owner he is not his brother. Just a good friend. Also the girl behind the counter serving was also lovely. All good hard workers with lovely pleasant manners. We called today Mon 25 July at around 12 noon. Will def call back.

My partner, daughter and I popped into Bertie’s on a whim and aren’t we glad we did. Wonderful welcome from the owner and her family. Brilliant service and friendly. We had two Sunday dinners and the owner kindly brought us a plastic plate and spoon for our 8 month daughter so she could enjoy the wonderful meal with us. Dinner was stunning, home made and all fresh. The interior was breath taking. So lovely to see a hard working family and fresh ingredients presented so wonderfully. Think we will be making it our Sunday routine to attend the lovely cafe again and to try all the other lovely meals on the menu. Thank you again to the owner, our daughter took such a shine to you!
