The Crown Inn At Sydenham

Popped in last minute on a Friday. Was happily accomdated. Food and service was amazing. We had a tough week and this was exactly what we needed. No hastle, helpful and friendly. The smallest things were all just right e.g. background music was background. RESERVED Scrabble tiles on our table ready for us. Wasn't chased to eat up. Glorious.

A visit to Adwell House brought us close by to Sydenham, and we decided to eat lunch at The Crown Inn. Both meals were nicely presented, of a decent portion size and were spot on to their descriptions. Between us we had the Hanging Chicken & Halloumi Kebab with a Greek salad and the Smoked Haddock Fishcakes, both served with fries. Small selection of real ales and crisp lagers on tap, perfect for a summer's day! Staff were friendly and attentive, with the right amount of presence. We shall return when next over your way!

What a gem this place is. House-sitting for some friends in Chinnor we decided to see where was good in the area for a roast, really glad we found The Crown Inn for lunch today. All the staff were so lovely and friendly, the food was absolutely delicious (we had 3 different roasts and two different desserts between us), there's a good range of drinks and the atmosphere and vibe of the pub makes you feel like you're in someone's house, it's a gorgeous building and with lovely decor. All 3 of us had a perfect Sunday afternoon there. Can't recommend enough 🤩😍

Joyous country pub with charm, lovely staff and great food. Off the beaten path the pub has a beer garden, a good selection of beers, a menu with some fun options (hanging chicken kebab, which was extremely well executed). It can draw a crowd and there is no allocated parking (most park on road right outside). Staff were really nice and again the food was both generous in size but most importantly tasty and very well cooked.
