Gelato Messina Surry Hills

I like Messina Gelato. They have some classic good flavours that is always a hit plus every week special that you can try out. Their gelato cake is interesting and yummy too got the Quad Choc $68 it consist of milk, white and dark chocolate gelato, toasted white chocolate parfait, flourless chocolate sponge, crunchy caramel milk chocolate, finished with velvet chocolate spray. Quite yummy.

The huge queue speaks volumes - everyone knows how amazing the ice cream is and service was great too. So many flavours to choose from (and quite a few specials) that it can be overwhelming. Went with the milk choc peanut fudge (amazing, but seriously sweet) and salted caramel with white chocolate. Definitely worth a visit and the queue goes down pretty sharpish.

I dropped in here to get my 5 year old daughter an ice cream. I didn't mind having to wait behind customers who were there first etc but when it was our turn the girl walked straight past me without a word and proceeded to serve man who'd only just entered the store. I also don't mind if for whatever reason she couldn’t or wouldn't serve me.. but she not only refused to serve us, she didn't even look at/to talk/acknowledge me in any way whatsoever! Another girl then proceeded to serve me and when i voiced that they should be mindful of customer placement and that manners are free.. she proceeded to tell me that they had to serve people who were before me before they could get to me but she pointed at two other couples which I had no issue with completely ignorant to the man next to me and when I pointed him out as the example she just ignored me and said "well I'm serving you now.." My main issue remains why did the first employee completely shun us so rudely? 🤔🤷🏽‍♀️
