More than 25 platforms for different train lines that connect Sydney CBD with Greater Sydney suburbs as well as regional NSW and other Australian states such as Melbourne & Canberra.
This station is really big, it's possible you would get confused to find your way.

The main train station of Sydney, it's located in a heritage building that's well maintained, orderly and kept clean and tidy.
There's up to date train information on the main foyer's screens and information desk, as well as screens throughout the station and platforms that cover departures and the stops for each individual train arriving at each platform.

Wonderful station. The architecture of the building is marvelous. The exterior and interior is outstanding. I Loved the atmosphere, visiting the station was like turning back time and living in 80s but with a high tech technology

Central at this point was a little confusing to navigate to find the correct light rail service to get to an event. There was a lot of works going on to better the station. There were lots of staff to ask directions to were I needed to go. Big place to navigate but it is starting to look really nice.

Central Sydney Train Station is a station that I've been taking for many years.
Even pre-virus in peak hour it was really good in terms of how it can handle high volume, it's easy to get around the staff there are really good.
It's also visually fascinating, has great bathrooms (for a train station) and also has good shops all around it too. Great spot and love it!

It's a grand old building and the plans underway will enhance and add to this area of Sydney.
A lot more people traveling by trains, so will be good to see it developed to its potential as a business and retail area.
