This Must Be The Place

Went here on a recommendation of a foodie friend. Not many bars near it so it's a welcome addition in that particular spot. Bright and open, beautifully styled and modern with peach tones and nice art. It's primarily a bar serving a good range of cocktails and wines, they do have some food but on this occasion we were just there for drinks. The cocktail menu is one that i've not seen before; an interesting array of ingredients like rose water, eucalyptus etc. Apparently the bar tender is an award winning cocktail maker - wouldn't be surprised! He also offered suggestions as to drinks we'd like. Great visit.

Amazing place! The cocktails here are of the highest quality, and far far exceed most in the city. Menu is small but they do make cocktails off the menu as well. Atmosphere is VERY chill and location is right on the main strip... albeit not obvious. Worth taking the time to come and enjoy... you will NOT be disappointed if you want the absolute best drinks and don’t mind paying the appropriate money for it.

I had my birthday party at This Must be the Place and it was perfect. Firstly, the staff were so fantastic, easy to deal with and so accomodating. The drinks were lovely and the antipasto table was delicious. Luke also arranged with a local pizza restaurant for pizzas to be delivered a bit later in the night and they were perfect. The room is so lovely and the perfect size, everyone mixed really well. I couldn't recommend this venue for a private party more - I loved it and all of my friends called me the next day to say how great the venue was and the staff were!

My partner and I went on a Wednesday evening after hearing that this is the bar that bartenders go to in their spare time. There were only a handful of other people there, which I loved because the bartender was able to make us some great drinks without feeling pressured by a busy night. We ordered two drinks off the menu to start, and they were both weird and funky and delicious. Then we asked the bartender to make us some drinks based off the flavour profiles we each like. Both of the drinks he made up were fantastic and just what I wanted. We also ate chicharrones and chips, which were good. I highly enjoyed this place. It's quiet and had good lighting and the toilet was super clean, unlike a lot of places that are ultra dark and loud and pretending to be good cocktail bars. This place actually is. I look forward to going back.

This must be the place hosted our farewell party in their upstairs bar. I can't recommend this place enough. Luke and his team were great and made the whole organisation process easy. The drink and food options were a real hit and the venue looked great on the day. They allowed us to take over the space and play all our own music. Would strongly recommend.
