Gin Lane

Gin Lane is the place to be for an evening cocktail treat! We came for the all-night happy hour on Tuesday and also enjoyed the cheese board and truffle fries. The selected happy hour specials are for a variety of G&Ts and some cocktails. Note if you want the creative instaworthy cocktails that come in lightbulbs, teapots, birdcages etc. these are all still normal prices. We both tried the “Girls Night Out” cocktail, which was a five step process including edible lipstick, champagne perfume spray, fairy floss and more! Lots of fun and very innovative. I’ll definitely be back to experience more of the fancy gin cocktails.

Came into Gin Lane after having some dinner on the same street and was greeted at the door by a lovely enticing English man (Draco) who swiftly checked our green ticks and sat us down promptly. We were given all the time we needed to talk through the cocktails and be guided onto what we may like, another female brunette Aussie girl was amazing with her customer service as well, very helpful. Had a great time over all would definitely come back, only down was that our table was dirty (hadn't been wiped down) and there was so much excitement and talking I was too shy to ask you guys to wipe it down but otherwise love love love.

Excellent service by staff named shanker. Served hibisicous and rose cocktail and also breaking bad cocktail. It was amazing the way he explained regarding the drinks and his passion regarding the drinks. He has a lot of knowledge regarding gin. Looked super busy but he was very attentive and customer focused. We will definitely back and recommend lot of friends to be there. Thanks

I’m really not sure how I feel about Gin Lane. There’s good and bad. The good: The venue itself was adorable and charming. The music added to the ambience and there wasn’t a bad seat in the house. The cocktails themselves were actually great. Many of their specials are too focused on presentation for my taste and were very sweet, but to each their own. Their espresso martini was spot on. The weeknight drink specials are actually quite affordable. The bad: For some reason, there were three different types of menus, which was very confusing. They had a cute newspaper style menu, about 4 individual small menus (each with different items) and an online menu. This was very unnecessary and confusing as a guest. I highly recommend you combine everything into one location to make it easier for the patrons to navigate all of the options. My other complaint was the staff. I asked our waitress for a cocktail recommendation for my friend who had never tried gin and she stumbled on her words, clearly not knowing, and ended up telling us that we can order any classic cocktails and the bar would make it. We clearly wanted to try one of the speciality gin cocktails and instead she recommended we order something that isn’t on the menu? I really think the staff needs to be educated about the menu, particularly the gin drinks, as it is called “gin lane”. That whole experience was quite off putting. Overall, I probably wouldn’t return on my own accord but wouldn’t complain if a friend wanted to go there. I liked the place and the drinks were good, but I think that navigating the menu situation and not being able to ask the staff for recs outweighs those things for me.

Had an incredible time, came here with my mates for my 21st birthday and had the best time. We were seated and serve by Aaron who made us feel so welcoming and made my night so special. We got a private room upstairs with a balcony and had amazing cocktails and drinks. Could have stayed much longer if we had time. Thanks guys!
