Fountain Cafe

Read the previous poor reviews and really questioned whether to check this place out. Glad we did! Great spot with heaps of outdoor seating to people watch and let the world go by. Food was great, we had the Breakfast Burger and Fritters, would recommend both. Coffee was great. Staff were super friendly and attentive. We were there for lunch on a Saturday. Definitely recommend.

Waited 40 minutes for breakfast (arrived 1045am on a busy sunny Sunday) to arrive which was tough with a baby. 3 of the menu items were sold out. But the food was lovely, service great and they were so helpful getting me a high chair. Coffee was bliss. Will be back, maybe just a little earlier next time!

Fantastic location !!!! To watch the world go by and see all the uniqueness of the best area in Sydney. If you're looking to be served (at all) or staff that actually enjoy their job PLEASE STAY AWAY ! while there have been some good reviews regarding this venue you won't be surprised to know that these good reviews come from people who, shall we say, don't pay for or are friends of staff. The manager (short girl with long hair) seems like she hasn't worked in customer service in her life and is more interested in NO service rather than good service ( which would be unusual if you are served within 10 mins even with this "manager" looking right at you ) Can't understand why a company who owns the whole block of businesses along the strip would allow this business to fail. Overall .... Fail fail fail At least we have other good cafes in the area to be treated with respect and service. Avoid at all cost ( menu items overpriced and usually don't come as what menu says or cold ) Good as a tourist trap on weekends

Waited for an hour and still didn't get our meal so ended up leaving. Could tell others were trying to get staff attention to place an order during the time we were there. Guess they are still finding their feet but waiting over an hour for eggs and avo was not a good experience. Coffee was average also.

Unfortunatley my first bad review but it needs saying that after waiting forever to get served and then paying $16 each for a granola bowl we expected a little bit more than tasteless muesli with a small blob of yogurt and a quarter of a stawberry on top. The ingredients were clearly very cheap and nothing like what you would expect for the price. Despite how bad it was we went over to the counter and payed but thought we would just politely mention to the manager that we were a little disappointed, The attitude and response we got was a major shock to us, no appology not even a "we will do our best to improve it in the future", simply a filthy look, then "ok" before turning his back on us and walking away. I went back to ask him how he thinks that response was acceptable only to get told "well what do you want me to do". A lesson in customer service may be needed for you my friend!!!!! Overall, bad food and worse service!!!!!
