Relaxing place, not too packed on a Saturday lunch time. Food options were great, service overall okay. Music not too annoying but choice could be better! We had the special that day of baked chicken with soup ($19) and traditional Singaporean breakfast of kaya toast with soft cooked eggs ($12.50). Overall taste was great but I felt serving of the baked chicken was a tad too small for what we paid. Would try the sweets next time. Thanks for the lovely meal!

This little cute café is hidden away from the busy area of Surry Hills. I’m glad I found it! The food menu looked amazing. I ordered “THE KOPITIAM BREKKIE” which also had 2 poach eggs. It included Kaya toast, very crispy and delicious, I dipped it into the runny poached egg, and it tasted so heavenly 🥰🤤 This is what I had in Singapore for breakfast! So good!!!! 🥪🥪 The coffee was also amazing! The food and coffee was quality. The service was very quick and friendly. Next time I will return for something different ❤️ It’s only a 5-10 minutes walk from Central train station, very easy to find. I paid $17.68 for my meal + the double shot soy latte. Definitely a good café to check out!

Haven’t been back to this cafe since yelp and zomato time😁. I’ve decided to re visit this cafe, for late lunch, and ordered from special board “clay pot “ with tapioca noodle, prawns, fish cakes, onsen egg and also pork lards. Love everything on this dish and the crunchiness of small dice pork lards was unbelievably amazing! And to beat this gloomy Sydney weather, I ordered “cold buster tea” orange, ginger, turmeric, honey and lemon. It was a soul warmer drink! .... From last Visit, a while ago. .... Finally got chance to try this cafe with my sister. The lady owner welcomed us and described some special for today and the best selling on the menu. I was sold when she describe the buttermilk pancake.. We could decide what else to try... Then again she convince us with mama yang's pork belly bowl.. It's a family secret recipes she said! Done, we order that dish, please! You won't regret it, she said! Well, the dishes come out, and you know what .. Our hungry eyes are open wide and my iPhone's out snapping pictures of the dishes our ordered. As pretty as it presented, the dishes are super good! I'm telling you, the rice bowl are perfect for type of "Asian" brunch, because it's a little heavy with the rice involved. I'm telling you, the braised pork belly are tender and presented with a little bite size tender chunk meats, and proportion fat and meat are just perfect! On top of that the sprinkle with lots of "bawang goreng" ( fried red onion). Happy me! The buttermilk pancakes ( serve 3) were delicious too, served with braised banana in coconut milk and served with sprinkle shaven coconut flakes, and hint of lime to counter the richness and sweetness from Gila Malaka, that they used in braising liquid. Would love to come back if I'm craving for Kaya and toast Malaysian style!

Great twist on the Australian cafe experience. To be fair there were a lot of dishes that weren't to my breakfast tastes but I admire the attempt to do something different. I'll come back for lunch one time to try the Lamb shank special which looked incredible. Great coffee too.

I like the Malaysian-western fusion cafe concept, in a cosy cafe setting / minimalist clothing shop. The food’s delicious & serving size reminds me of what one gets back in Asia, which is not too much, just right. Look forward to their Specials, which they update regularly. The Laksa Rumah’s decent, but that’s because i’ve had better version elsewhere. The Pandan Cake’s nice, light & just sweet enough. Yum!

Cute little cafe hidden from the busy area of Surry Hills selling Malaysian/ Singapore Brunch. Their Nonya kuih are really authentic the fragrance, flavours and texture is there in all their kuih. I love their Tom Yum Chicken Congee & their Mee pok is pretty good. A good place to satisfy your craving for some comfort Malaysian/SIngapore Hawker food in cafe setting.
