Sushi Uo

After reading the below 1 star reviews I am certainly confused and feel like I either ate at a different restaurant or they have definitely changed. My experience was one full of awesome food, amazing service and quick execution from the kitchen. The waitress was super friendly and even had some fun helping me practice my Japanese despite my poor Aussie accent. The prices are well expected and nothing I looked at on the menu made me think "wow, that's a shock!". The specials menu was exactly what I want to see, a good variety and great portion sizes for great value. I was happy to get red rice with my dish too, a pleasant topping to a wonderful dining experience!

I've been eying off this place for over a month and finally had dinner here the other night with my friends. The layout and ambiance is beautiful and the staff where all nice. The food was all excellent, for me sushi & Sashimi and Sukiyaki was excellent, I kept sucking on the chopstick because the flavour was amazing! Overall i was very impressed with atmosphere, service and food. Strongly recommend !!

A new Japanese Restaurant that opened 2 months ago. Has friendly staff and a sophisticated dining layout. Great quiet environment for dates and chats with your mates. Booking was somewhat difficult at the start. We used the Grand Opening Scoopon deal offering the 90minute sitting for all you can eat sushi, sashimi and a good selection of rice last night. Came with a free red or white wine per person which was a bit on the sweet side. Between the 4 of us we were able to fit in 4 orders and amounted to 16 dishes that were entree sized. It was quite filling by the end of the dining session. The rolls were a highlight including: Prawn Crunch, Soft Shell Crab, Atlantic, Rainbow and White Baiting. The carpaccio was nice with its use of truffle oil, although a bit thickly sliced. We were not exposed to the full range of creativity/adventure/presentation the chef may have had due to the buffet selection. With the pricing on the current menu, makes it really hard to compete with the quality of Toko and affordability of Sushi Suma. Overall, a new ambient Japanese setting that doesn't offer the quality of food matched to its environment. More Non-Scoopon dining experiences needed to have a more balanced view of the restaurant.

I had to call the waitress three times for my order to be taken when she was talking with her mate and not doing anything. The dishes took very long time to come out and they were unbelievably small portioned when it is about $20 each. Sushi was tasteless and don was too salty. They obviously did not know a word on customer service. Rude, rude and just too rude.
