Really good casual eatery where you can select your own ingredients, how much you want to eat and the level of spiciness. The dishes are charged by weight. There are a lot ingredients to select from. The soup base is very nice and very generous. The dining atmosphere is much cleaner compared to other mala joints.

We went at 6pm Friday night and a lot of stuff was sold out. I know this place does lunch but you’d think they would restock for dinner. The concept of build your own seems good. The noodle bowls were quite flavourful. There is only one soup base and the noodles are prepackaged mi gorang or udon. The prices were by weight and each of the bowls pictured cost about $17. I think this place has a lot of potential but it’s a bit unkept/understocked.

Always packed at lunch, this unusual pay by weight restaurant is my go to for a naughty treat! The unusual set up can look intimidating but just follow the signage 1,2,3... or join the queue and follow along. Love the smorgasboard of weird and wonderful offerings - beef, pork, fish balls, pig's blood (yes!), tofu, quail's egg, and exotic greens. I usually go for lots of veg for a healthier meal. The sweet potato noodles are delicious!! - smooth and springy texture - gluten reduced if not gluten free. It's easy to get heavy handed and find out only at the cashier but if careful with your selection, you can have a fulfilling meal around the $12 to $15 mark. The soup base likely has MSG but can be overlooked for the experience.

4.4 - Edit: Bring Cash. Always issues with the lady who charges money. She slugs the surcharge no matter what card you use to pay. A great no/ low carb alternative. Huge bowls of yummy soup - Yes, it could use more depth but it can't be too much more flavoursome cos people add in sauces. Signs shows step by step what you need to do to make your meal. Choose Veggies, Noodles and Mains. Portions are in your control. $26/kg. It does take awhile to get your order but they cook it for you perfectly and announce it on the PA. Be aware that you may need to share tables and people dining in can be very loud.

Great Chinese soup dishes. You picked your own ingredients and they will cook it for you. There are plenty of condiments on the side that you can add to your soup by yourself. The price is calculated by the weight, so be aware of your ingredients and don't go overboard, because it is so easy to do so. The ingredients are very fresh and they are quite quick with the refill

A very average malatang place. I had been to 2 other malatang places in Sydney, I have to say this is the most average. Taste just average, not as many selection as other place. However, I have to say the place is very clean. And if you never experience malatang before then you need to go to MaLaBang

Malabang World Square, Sydney. Not the best Malatang Hot Pot around, but not the worse. Like all Malatang restaurants, you still choose your desired ingredients followed by the broth. There are three different broth, each with its own unique taste. I’m yet to explore what Sydney has to offer, however, Malabang wouldn’t be one of my goto places, unfortunately, as the broth was a letdown. At least, my company was more than desirable.
