Belles Hot Chicken

I really wanted to love Belles as I had hot chicken in Nashville and it was fantastic. We ordered the chicken sandwich, hot wings and for sides we had fries, coleslaw, pickles and the mac & cheese. The flavour of the hot wings was pretty good but both the hot wings and the burger were served around room temp which took away from the flavour. The mac & cheese was decent and the coleslaw was pretty good. Service was great and the location is really cool. Overall it was pleasant but nothing super special. There is parking available, up to 2hrs free.

Came for the fried chicken + waffles weekend special, stayed for the chicken sandwich. The waffles were great, fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside and thick- perfect for mopping up the maple syrup. I've had the tenders before which weren't great (dry, not crispy). Happily I chose the drumsticks which had a good crunch. Medium spice was not spicy at all - zero lip tingling (there's more spice in a zinger burger) and actually a little under seasoned so would recommend something hotter for those here for a spicy chicken. Chicken sandwich was tasty - great spice, crispy skin and just right amount of lettuce / pickle / mayo. Also got the Arnold Palmer which was a refreshing accompaniment.

I am truly dissapointed in the quality of product i got here. I bought the check and waffles special and one of the waffles was burn but also so light like it was just egg in the batter. The other piece was as though they scraped the last bit of batter left and they could only fill half the waffle iron, it was so thin and had nothing to it. The wings were dry too and overall just terrible. I've eaten here before and thoroughly enjoyed the wings and waffles, this was so disappointing.

Come here at the weekend for bottomless prosecco and chicken & waffles! The food was outstanding...chicken tenders were perfect and juicy and the waffles spot on with the maple syrup. Being designated driver everyone who had the bottomless cocktails tells me that they were epic as well. They do one thing...and they do it very very well!
