Blue Fig Bar

A very pretty and mesmorising bar with lots of graphic wall art. The interior design of the place suits its aesthetic incredibly well and the whole appearance of this bar is going to be what draws the people in in the first place, as it did with me. Came here with a group of friends after we had dinner, we were looking for a place to relax and by chance someone had pointed this out. We were here for probably just over an hour with a few of us going in and out. We had a mojito jug to share between all of us and it was refreshing. There was also an coin-arcade machine here which contained lots of games from the 90s or so, which was a great nostalgic experience. Super comfy and chill atmosphere would probably come back to have a meal seeing as lots of the other reviews rate it 👍🏽

Ever since i heard of the Blue Fig Bar, it’s never disappointed. The Music, the Art, the staff & the people are such a Vibe! The Blue Fig Bar always has DJs playing, a dance floor and host a diverse selection of nights which range in genre. It also holds open deck slots, which allow young DJs to practice, hone in on and build confidence behind the decks. Many of Sydney’s finest club selectors have came through and still honor this venue. A must go venue in Sydney trendy Newtown!

A fantastic local bar with the best value cocktails in Newtown and a quirky vibe with neon artwork throughout painted by one of the owners, Rach. The other owner Russ is a top bloke, friendly as and always up for a chat and banter. Bluefig is the only real venue in Sydney that is supporting up and coming DJs with open decks on some Thursdays and Sunday's, and great music by more established DJs throughout the week. Once you visit you'll be back on the regular 🙌

Cool inside and really great electronic music. But my margarita was not good. Was lukewarm not cold, and just tasted pre-mix sweet with no tequila bite :-( If it was a $12-$14 cocktail maybe I wouldn't have cared, but at $18 I expect a well made margarita. However , I would go back and try again assuming this was just a bad one-off.
