Crown Bar

BEST wings and sauces in TACOMA. The creeper sauce absolutely will creep up on you. The Crown Bar is a true industry bar, a bartenders bar, a local neighborhood bar. This is the places to find bikers, locals, "industry folk", regular and non-regular people. Come for a wings, burger, and a beer; stay for the conversations and people. This is one place you WONT find the PNW chill/cold shoulder.

We hasn't been to Crown for a few years and decided to give it a try. The first thing that surprised us was that there was no table service. You had to order everything at the bar, including food which is what we came for. There was a gal running food out to tables buy she was new and not a server. My wife's pork dish (her second choice after the skirt steak which was not available)was good and the meat in my burger decent but the sandwich was "wet" and the bun couldn't hold it. It was very sloppy. I ended up just using a fork to eat the meat. I kept asking where my fries were (they are a'la carte which is just stupid) but I didn't get them until after I was done with my burger. The chef forgot about them. At first I was told they were out of ketchup..this was well after ordering my fries but the gal found some. The fries were good . I really wanted to like this place and will try again in about a year but it seems like it has turned into more of a drinking place. The bartender and especially the helper gal were friendly at least. I think the chef isn't communicating to the front of the house because we weren't told the skirt steak and ketchup weren't available until 5 minutes after ordering! I hope they do well and yes I do realize there are staffing issues and even supply chain issues right now but when you are forking out $80 for dinner you expect better.

Always great. We stopped in again on Saturday after starting at Dirty Oscars. Really glad we came here for food instead, our server Alyssa was awesome. The service was great, the happy hour prices were phenomenal, the food was fantastic and the drinks were great. Really can't say enough about Crown. I've visited off and on for years and they always do a great job.

This place needs help, the chicken and waffles were definitely not home made, I bet the waffles were from Costco.They were also out of half the items on the menu and our waiter didn't know anything about the food. Menu was a bit haphazard some items were missing descriptions and other items don't make sense. I can't recommend anyone come to this place, my experience was fairly close to terrible.

We came in a couple weekends ago just looking for a beer and some food. We order a few appetizers for the table and a bigger plates. First, only half of our appetizers came out and they were so incredibly over salted that we couldn’t even eat them. We’re not people to send food back but we had to it was that bad. Our other food comes out about 45 minutes later and half of it is cold. We asked out our missing appetizers and they just said “oh, I dont know. I’ll take them off the bill” At this point we didn’t really need or care for anymore food but definitely thought that was a strange response. My friend had a margarita that tasted like straight up syrup (cause it was) but my rainier was great! Idk unless you’re here to take shots and have a beer I’d go elsewhere
