..Martin & his mom are phenomenal cooks. The best BBQ worldwide in my opinion is outta North Carolina & personally I think his BBQ is just like being there... the Catfish and mama's strawberry ice box cake are the best ever!!! Favorite place to dine and VERY hard to find good BBQ and southern cooking in our area but this is your place to stop...

1st time here was told my order was going to be 20 minutes it's been 40 minutes strong and no food! I'm hungry will review food after I eat. This is only an initial review. After further review the ribs were good for the Seattle area. Although I recommend that the pitmaster. Pull the membrane from the backside of the ribs the sauce was nice and flavorful. I didn't care for the sides too much greens were way too tough and mac n cheese wasn't cheesy enough. If Dowd reworks his greens he'd have maybe 5 stars. ( the next time I'll make sure I call ahead to order )

Good food. Did not have high expectations for a bbq joint / gas station but food quality actually blew me away. Loved the fried chicken and gumbo. This place is definitely worth a shot. Keep up the good work.

Well fact is we have heard a million good things about this place. However, their website says they are open until 11:00 pm but we have tried 8 times to eat there and every time we go they were closed before 5 pm, so how can we know if it's great if we can't eat there...? Too bad ..

Great food, good people and awesome Pilar of our community. Recommend the brisket, ribs, catfish, greens, yams, cornbread and sweet potato pie!!
