Buddy Brew

I've gone to this place for a while to get a drip coffee and i like the atmosphere, the workers are nice. It's been my go-to spot for a couple years now. However, they've raised their price of a basic drip coffee and most recently i was charged $4 for a reg (it's like 12 oz) and that's just too much for me. Everything else is great and i wish they didn't raise their price beyond $3 for a drip.

Parking in Hyde Park is an issue, that being said Buddy Brew is an adorable coffee shop that looks like it might've been a repurposed 1920's soda shop-turned coffee shop. Drinks are good, they have treats and a few food options, but there is limited seating and often a line which makes it feel very 'crushed' rather than cozy and chill. Especially since you have to struggle through the line of people to get back out the door after picking up your order. Service is top notch, but due to the flow and seating issue I always get it to go and walk around or find alternative seating elsewhere.

I’ve been to so many coffee shops around the Tampa area but this Buddy Brew knows how to treat their regulars and customers right because they go way beyond anyone’s expectations because they care about their customers. Nothing is better than to walk into a coffee shop that knows your order and treats you like family. Customer service has always been very important to me in any restaurant or coffee shop I walk into. Thank you , Elizabeth, Devon, Jeremy, Alex, Alec, Brooke and the rest of the team that always does a fantastic job at what they do serving the public and their regulars. Tiny shop but very calming vibes. Efficient workers and super friendly. Food was perfect! Ordered the hangover sandwich and a cup of cold brew with a splash of oatmilk for a total of $17. Moderately nice place to study at with some outlets available indoor. I enjoy the color contrast in this shop a lot, the white, black, gold contrast 👌
