Umi Sushi And Oyster Bar

I've been eating sushi for 30 years. I have never had this quality sashimi. The portions were generous, but the goal here is to indulge in quality and not quantity, so if you're expecting to feel as full as you do when you leave Denny's, maybe you should go to Denny's. This was the best sushi (and drinks) we've had since the Ritz Carlton in Hawaii. I cannot more highly recommend this location for sushi connoisseurs. If you are a novice, you may not see the value. I cannot wait to be able to afford to go back. 🙂 My husband was very impressed by his old fashioned and the bar tender who made it. I was able to sample sake and choose which I wanted to pair with my meal. Overall, this was a great experience, ambiance, service, and meal.

We drove from Harrahs just to try this sushi place knowing that there may possible be a long wait, and yes, there was a long wait because we didn’t have reservations. However, the bar was first come first serve, so we decided to wait hoping for someone to quickly finish their food. While waiting, there was a small table and the manager, Dominique, initiated and was cared enough to ask if we mind sitting there. She could’ve easily ignored us, but she didnt! She brought us chairs and menus and said her Bartender will come right away to take our orders and Carl came so quickly we were again so thankful! Their caring gesture and kindness really caught our attention and I hope this review can be considered carefully from the restaurant.

I'm giving a 3 only because the waiter was nice. A little too much at times but meant to be sweet. Overall though, overpriced. As in 10+ overpriced on what you'd pay for a place you'd thought was already was going to be overpriced. And not even all that worth the extra money. Save it for a spot on the beach
