Stumbled over Ben's Wine & Tapas - the idea of combining the two sat well with us (not knowing what we were getting into).
Fortunately, for the dishes ordered, all were consistently tasty and our kids consumed each one eagerly -- fried squid, antipasti cured ham, soya sauce brocoli, spinach/mushroom croquettes, patatas bravas, to the fiery peppers- all tasty.
Ambience is relaxed with a minimalist decor. We sat upstairs next to an open window overlooking a view of the high street and its pedestrians on a pleasantly sunny day - what's not to like.
Staff are friendly, cheerful and attentive-- interacted authentically with our children.
The one area that was a small disappointment was that portions could have be larger (relative to the price). Other than that, we loved it.

Ben's Wine and tapas was an exceptional culinary experience. The food was full of taste and inspiring. I love the fact that you're able to have 'small' glasses of wine so it feels like a wine tasting (see photo). They also do great Margaritas! Will definitely go back.

Really enjoyed the food and service. Very good value; large portions nicely cooked. BWT Meatballs, Pigs Cheeks and bread++ was £16! wva.

Excellent coffee, attentive bar staff brought my coffee and croissant upstairs. Upstairs? Yes, two extra rooms with seating and tables upstairs. Each room has a different character, with the back room evoking memories of long evenings on La Côte d’Azur.
