Peacock Xpress

Never again will I come here! Came here for lunch. It’s located in a dingy strip mall with limited parking. When you walk inside you are inundated with signs telling you to order at the counter. I walked up to the counter and looked at the menu. When o decided what I wanted I put the menu down. This whole time someone was sitting on the other side of the counter and on their phone but never said hello. It wasn’t until someone came in from the back room that the other guy got up and started talking to me. The menu is traditional Indian food menu you see in the Bay Area, but nothing has descriptions. I had to ask multiple times what things were and even then they could only tell me 1-2 words. After I ordered no direction was provided on what to do next. I helped myself to the chai tea (sugar free) and a plastic fork. The food was brought out on a paper lunch plate. It looked tacky. Water was in pitchers on the tables, but they leaked when pouring. The food was mediocre at best. More spicy than all the other Indian places I’ve been too in the Bay Area, and rice tasted old. Multiple signs be the door asking to throw out trash, but trash can was located in the opposite location at back of store.

This place just opened very recently and offers a variety of indian food. The food itself is amazing but they serve it in paper bowls and plates. It's self service too so, nothing much to talk about the service. The prices are reasonable but when you serve them in paper bowls and plates.... hhmm.. i don't know about that approach. But then again, they just opened recently so maybe they weren't really fully prepared yet and are still working on those stuff. 😊

The food is ok way too over spiced. I know how hot Indian food can be so I ask for it mild. It was like they made it even more spicy to be funny. I have been to Plenty of Indian restaurants and they were not this spicy by far. I got my order to go so when I ate it I tryed calling back to get my money back but they were closed. I am very disappointed with this place.

Heard about it in FM, tried my luck. Food was not tasty. I definitely do not recommend to eat here. To beat up the competition in union city they still need to work more on their -ves. Hold your hunger and please drive to Fremont for good tasty food, worth spending gas instead of feeling bad after tasting food here! It's just my opinion. Try your luck😝
