Huddle House

This building needs to be reworked. The cook,Dre was very professional and provides great service. However the waitresses had a hard time knowing which table theirs. Although it was rather busy the service from both young was good. One tried to keep tables clean . The other washed all the dishes. Seems to be a slight management problem. She can't control her personal. The waitresses seem to control the dinning area. So beware if the place is busy. You will listen to the ladies arguing over who belongs to what table. It took 20 minutes to get a check. Then I had to ask for it. Not a wonder they had a walk out with no pay.

Walk in and four tables are piled high with dirty dishes. Cooks arguing back and forth. One of wait staff has her children in store and she spends more time at that table than any other. Our food took over an hour. Major was in the building but hiding in office. People were getting up and leaving. There was one or two waitresses trying their best but the ship was sinking and they could do nothing. Food was ok, nothing fancy, just eggs, bacon, grits and toast. Terrible experience and won't go back to this store. Surprised we are not sick .

The service was extremely slow. I believe it was due to staffing shortages so I don't hold it against them. I had the southern smothered biscuit. It looked as though they just threw a bunch of random food together and gave it to me, it was delicious though. The southern smothered biscuit may not ever win a beauty contest but you taste every ingredient with one bite. The waitress was very nice and even though she was swamped with customers she made the time to check on me and offer frequent refills of my coffee. The price was not bad. There was a huge plate full of food and the coffee was hot and was surprisingly good. I could see them constantly making fresh pots and pouring out old ones which is a nice change of pace. I will be going back.

I had breakfast twice here now and it was great both times. It's great to be able to eat inside, and the cook and waitstaff are personable so it's even more fun. I had the country-fried steak with scrambled eggs both times and it was on par with Cracker Barrel. Service was quick enough but the restaurant was only a quarter to a third full, so I'm not sure what it would be like at peak times. Overall I'd highly recommend Huddle House.

The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is the food was good, however, service was horrible! I felt sorry for the one cook they had working. He was very nice and was trying to cook AND was bringing us food. The waitress, who mentioned it was her birthday, was worried more about talking instead of taking care of customers. I asked for coffee twice and never received it. Tried to get her attention numerous times, still nothing. There were two others there, a man and woman, which I am assuming were managers, who weren’t helping at all. The man was on his phone the entire time just walking from the front to the back. The woman was appearing to help at first, but then just went to the back with him. I could honestly understand if it were busy, but it wasn’t. We finally received our check and then had to wait forever for the same waitress to come up and cash us out. Either hire more people, or teach the ones you have how to be more efficient. I will not be back after this experience.
