Walk-on’s Bistreaux & Bar

We had a great time at Walk-On's! The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was great! We started with the Alligator Tail appetizers which were amazing! After that came the Adult Grilled Cheese and the Spinach Artichoke Dip (which is what I got). All very good! Atmosphere and game corner impressed as well. Would recommend if you're looking for Southern food and live sports!

5-22-22 UPDATE: We have been back three time since my original review. Food was great and service was good but not excellent. We stopped in at about 4 pm Sunday and they were not crowded. Most people were at the bar and the bar area had about 6 tables with people. Our drink server came right away and got our drink orders and said that we would be awaited on shortly. We counted 12 employees within the restaurant with two at the door, two behind the bar, one chatting with a customer who she obviously knew, one working her tail off and the others just walking around. We were ignored. After about 10 minutes the drink server came back and said that someone at the bar will be coming to take our order. Another ten minutes and a couple had just sat down beside us and the girl chatting with the customer came to take their drink order. We still had not ordered. I told my husband I would see what the server would do when she got done with the drink order for our neighbors and when she didn't even look at us (we were three feet apart) that was it for me. I stopped her and ask for our drink order ticket and explained why. She said she was sorry to hear that and gave us our ticket. I paid and we left. NO WAY is this acceptable. LOVE the food. But I am not sure I will give them another chance. I do not know what happened but the service was not what we expect nor should we have to. I am changing my rating from 5 stars to 1. Service is EVERYTHING. We have been wanting to go to Walk-Ons for awhile. We finally got the chance and went Sunday for a late lunch. We were greeted at the door and asked where we would like to sit. Our only preference was a table. We were seated at the bar area and sat in bar heigh table and chairs which was perfect for us since my husband is very tall. Our server was a lovely young lady named Isabella. She was prompt, efficient and courteous. We ordered our drinks and food and were served within 5 minutes. The food was excellent. We are still talking about our meals. A friend came over, shook my hand and accidentally spilled my water. A customer came over and tried to help and spilled my husband’s drink. Our server immediately came and started cleaning up and then another server came and cleaned the floor. This incident wa a handled with such efficiency and kindness. Bravo to Walk-Ons for having an incredible staff at all levels and amazing food. We will be back soon.

Out with the kiddos.... Trying something new in Waco..... I'm guessing walking in without reservation is 🚫 a good idea....(45-50min wait) Inside is very nice with a mini arcade, over 20flatscreens, plenty of sitting in and out door.... Food; queso was bland and the chips stale .... Our meals did the job..... Overall things could of been better; like my drink 🍷 and not forgetting my dressing....

Awesome service. Abbey is awesome. Hard to find service this good these day. Somebody give this lady a Pat on the back and a raise. She’s definitely doing her thang. Great fast and clean restaurant. Awesome service. We love Abbey!!! We love Abbey! We love Abbey! And the service in this place. Go! Walk-Ons! Somebody knows what there doing around here! P.S. Try the Death Valley Drink! Woohoo!

I was excited to see that Waco has a Walk-On's! The food is so good! I had the Cajun Queseaux, the Crawfish Etoufeé and a cup of Chicken and Andoullie Gumbo. Everything was so delicious and well seasoned! My wife ordered the Cajundillas and some hushpuppies. The hushpuppies are the best I've ever had! They also have a few arcade games and a bar. There are a ton of TVs to watch the game on. Try it out!

This place never disappoints. The food is great, with large portions, the beer is ice cold, the atmosphere is awesome and the service is always good. We took my nephew for his 6th birthday and they sang to him and brought him a huge bowl of ice cream!! Isabella was an outstanding waitress!!! We will be back!
