The Rose & Crown

Lovely pub with a spacious beer garden; some covered areas, some open but with umbrellas. Only a few minutes from Beddington Park/Gardens. Friendly, courteous and helpful staff. The pub wasn't too busy, surprisingly, and with a better quality clientele to another very busy pub nearby! It also seems well looked after and clean. Relaxed atmosphere with background music inside and out, helps create a pleasant ambiance. Oh and I'm not a dog person but the pub appears to come with a really cute and friendly Pug...at least there was one the whole time we were there. Nice options for a Sunday roast or bar food, which had a nice touch here and there, e.g. not just served as 'basic'. Food and drink prices seemed reasonable. Have been looking for a pub to frequent and this might well be it.

It has been a few years since I visited The Rose and Crown and I was very impressed. Friendly cheerful staff, very good service and the food was devine. Highly recommend The Hunters Chicken, best I've ever had. I will be visiting more regularly now as I also felt very relaxed in the friendly atmosphere and the warm welcome from the staff. A*** rating

Fell upon the Rose & Crown, after visiting a friend. Best find in pub food and drink. 2 menus 1 Senior & 1 ordinary. As a senior person I enjoyed the choice & portion size 9f the Senior Menu along with the cost. The more extensive menu was enjoyed by the Husband whose eyes lit up at the availability of steak & Ruddle ale pie, mash along with lashings of gravy. We adored the different areas to sit, choice of sitting inside or out in garden, & and what a garden, Alan Titmarsh would be delighted. Staff were lovely, friendly & kind. The cellar kept to a high standard. My compliments to serving staff & chef. My best compliment goes to the 3 pugs which were allowed to visit us in bar for a short time. We will be back.
