Ultimate Cupcake

Wife got the cupcakes for grandson's second b-day. I did not see one guest eat the whole cupcake. I personally thought they tasted pretty nasty and threw mine in the trash after just one bite. I don't know what kind of taste they are going for but it certainly didn't taste good to me or most of our guests.

Original owners created award winning cupcakes. New owners have altered the original recipe, added a bunch of icing and ruined the brand. Was all excited to get cupcakes and was just left with a deep sadness in my soul. Way to sweet, my son's was very dry, mine was undercooked and my granddaughter's was her words "disgusting"

Seriously... what happened? A couple of years ago the cupcakes were worth driving from Ft Worth for. Today? Either the baker is incompetent or the cupcakes were at least 3-5 days old. (I strongly suspect the later. The level of who cares we are bored from the teen girls behind the counter fits that). I have literally never had a drier cupcake in my life. Seriously, Wal-Mart and Hostess make better cupcakes than what I got today. I truly hate writing this. I had some really positive experiences in the past, but based on today I wouldn't pay $3.50 a dozen much less each for these.

I drove from Frisco to get these cupcakes this past Friday. I had these cupcakes in 2012/2013 while attending school at Weatherford College and the quality has gone downhill. I ordered 6 cupcakes and the only one that tasted fresh and like it was baked that day was the pumpkin-which was moist and very flavorful-the only reason I rated 1 star. ALL of the other 5- a banana split, 2 red velvet, 1 black and white and coconut-all tasted crusty, hard, stale, dry...it was like eating a cupcake that was 4 or 5 days old that was left out in the open... I was beyond disappointed. Don’t waste your time on wondering whether or not you’ll get freshly baked cupcakes when you order from this bakery. It’s not worth it!
