Shed 5 Bar & Restaurant

My wife and two of our best friends had dinner last night and the overall experience was impeccable. I have not personally experienced such a great service in a long time. The cocktail with chocolate liquor my wife had was a dream and the wine suggested by the waiter matched our lamb fantastically well. My wife had the eye fillet and she also loved it as well as the presentation. It was also a great value for money. Great time! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience.

Loved the pre-show WOW menu experience. The service was very attentive. The restaurant phoned earlier in the day to move our arrival time 45min earlier to ensure we were not rushed and could make it to the show on time. The food was lovely (fish and lamb) though neither of us managed to finish our desserts (chocolate and cheese) as we were too full. Extensive wine selection. Lovely atmosphere with the water views.

Joining friends in Wellington for a few days, we wanted something overlooking the water with atmosphere. I booked Shed 5, I requested a window seat and told the team it was a long lunch, and that we were not in a hurry. It was a horrible, wet and windy day and Shed 5 was toasty warm. Our drinks choices and menu selection left us happy and we all had food envy when we saw each others dishes, we did a little sharing and taste testing. The service was great, friendly wait staff. The food was delicious and whilst it appeared all the tables were close to each other, we just enjoyed the surroundings and the experience. Yes, recommended! You won’t be disappointed.

This place is fantastic. The food and service are superb. The chowder is the best I’ve ever had and the fish of the day was perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and simply delicious. My wife had the fish and chips and she said it was excellent too there’s a good wine choice and it’s all fairly priced. The staff are well trained and presented. The place has a nice buzz, but it’s also intimate. If you like fish, this takes some beating.
