Ao Sushi

Long a sushi lover, Ao has been a staple for years. Sadly, Ao has slipped dramatically. If you’re getting rolls with lots of sauce, it’s flavorful enough. My go-to is a yellowtail and scallion roll; unfortunately, it’s one of those rolls where if the fish isn’t fresh or top grade, it’s noticeable. I’ve held off on writing this review, but this has been consistently bad fish for 6 months. This was the last chance I’ll give them.

The sushi here is tasty and I was a regular customer until today. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be coming back. Today I placed an online order for curbside pick-up and when I got there and called to tell them I was outside, the lady on the phone said in a rather unfriendly and impatient tone "Uhhh...The door is open. You can come in, you know? Bye" without even asking my order number or name. Then I walk in, and when I try to take the bag with my name, a lady shows up and scolds me because "I needed to talk to them before taking the order because they had not included my soup in the bag yet" an I'm there like "Well I tried calling but I was just told to come inside???". I don't mind walking inside to pick-up my order or doing any of those things, I just wish they were not rude when asking. This is the kind of experiences that make loyal customers not come back. A true shame.
