Jax 5th Ave Deli & Ale House

Discovered this place on my recent trip to wilmington. Great sandwiches, appetizers and pizzas! You get your own sliced pickles in a little jar that are some of the best around. On warmer days they have a nice big deck to sit on as well. I had the barbecue sandwich and it was really good. They also have a make your own sandwich, ask for the paper and you check off what you want down to the toppings and bread. Full bar with lots of local beers on tap . Three of us ate there getting our own sandwiches and one appetizer with beers and it was only $50. I will definitely put this restaurant on my list again when visiting Wilmington!

Wow! I figured we would start the NFL season with our own "trail". Do they have TVs to watch all the games? Absolutely! Are there a variety of locals brews on tap? Yup. Good eats at reasonable prices. No burgers no fries. It's a deli as in NYC area Jewish deli sandwiches. If you're nervous around avid Panthers fans, check the schedule first. They're great!

Very cool affordable place to grab a bite to eat. The waitress was very nice and quick to help us, it's a relaxing place to go and get a drink or quick bite to eat. If you like thin crust pizza they have a wide selection to choose from. As a snack they bring out a little container of dill pickles. They also have lot's of Panthers memorabilia on the wall.

This place was recommended on a travel vlog, so when we were looking for a place with good pizza and outdoor dining to celebrate my husband's birthday, this was an obvious choice. Friendly service, multiple local beers on tap, and fresh salads and tasty pita bread pizzas. They serve a complimentary canning jar of Boars Head pickles after they take your drink order. We ordered local beers, enjoyed the pickles and I let the birthday boy choose his pizza. He selected the Hawaiian and I ordered the spinach salad. Everything was fantastic. The Pita Pizza was flavorful and crisp. The salad was very fresh with a tasty bacon vinaigrette. Since we had already enjoyed cookies earlier in the day, we didn't order dessert, but our FABULOUS waitress brought him a cheesecake to go with Happy Birthday written on the container. Such wonderful and kind service! Tasty cheesecake and a very tasty dinner. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Not a very large place and it does a good business, so you may need to wait a bit for an open table like we did. We were given pickle slices to snack on while we waited for our order. But not just any pickles, THESE PICKLES WERE DELICIOUS. Our drinks arrived promptly(the Teaches Peaches beer is probably the best beer I ever had,highly recommend it) as did our yummy smoked salmon deviled eggs. The 10" Casper Pizza I had was fantastic as was my BFs crab cake sandwich with a side of macaroni salad. A great appealing menu selection and good prices. Great food , great service. I'll return to try other selections.

Best sandwiches I’ve had since we moved here!! The pickles are so yummy highly recommend asking for some. Great drink selection and a huge menu. Pasta salad wasn’t my favorite but it was good. Servers are so nice and very quick. We sat outside which was great because it was gorgeous out. The building is cool, it has a different vibe than most restaurants. Can’t wait to come back and try more! Definitely recommend this spot if you haven’t tried it.
