Ruby Tuesday

We ended up here tonight after atrocious service somewhere “fancy” downtown where we didn’t get past one drink before closing out and leaving. It was quite slow when we arrived at Ruby’s (off season) but the staff was all very friendly, efficient and gracious. Salad bar was well stocked and clean. Our cocktails were delicious and we both sampled each other’s meals. We loved every single bite. The server was very personable and genuine and the manager stopped by and even gave us a free app card for our next visit! Every meal I’ve ever had here was hot, fresh and delicious. The prices can’t be beat either. I think this will be one of our go to spots from here on out. Thank you to all of the staff for your hospitality.

Food was the best I've ever experienced at any ruby tuesdays.. including the one in (lewisville-clemmons NC) which was the very first job I ever had. Food didn't take long, was hot and delicious, my titos and tonic was poured generously, even moreso on the second one! No complaints there at all. Salad bar was loaded with many fresh options and a variety of delicious dressings.. unfortunately all of it was VERY DIFFICULT to access due to the glass above it, very close to and extending out beyond the Food, AND slanted downward. I'm 6'5, I had to bend down and press my face almost against the glass to reach anything, could barely reach items halfway back.. anything beyond that in the very back.. I gave up on. I could have stuck my head under the glass and with the ENTIRE length of my ABNORMALLY LONG arm, POSSIBLY been only slightly uncomfortable and able to get to the stuff in the back.. definitely considered it bc the dressing I wanted was in the back.. but there wasn't enough space for me to do so... sad, because I thoroughly enjoyed the quality, variety & fresness offered and would have made another trip or two if it wasn't all but damn near impossible for me to access. an oversight, or just a design flaw. Please consider raising the glass higher and or having it accessible from both sides.. On a completely random coincidence- the waitress we had quit halfway through her shift, once we were finished and had paid. Apparently due to management talking down to her and treating her unprofessionally after shed messed up another order. Not sure what really happened ornhow much of that is true or not. I Only know this because the next morning at waffle house, she was my waitress again there. 😂

This was a very good RT. There aren't many around anymore, so I was very pleased to find this whole visiting Kure Beach. The waitress was very attentive and the service was great. The hickory bourbon salmon was great, as usual, as was the spinach artichoke dip with chips. I wish they were closer to home. I will definitely go back when in the area.

We are super sensitive to crowded loud bar type restaurants like Chili's and others. We appreciate a quieter meal environment so we can talk and share ideas, dreams and sometimes jokes. The reason we like this place so much is because it's never super busy. At least not when we have gone. We usually have dinner between 4 and 5 pm. The restaurant is dated, could use a deep clean, but appears clean, and well cared for. The staff are always warm and friendly. I had the glazed salmon and was surprised at how the glaze wasn't overly sweet. It was smokey and added a wonderful flavor to the fish. I also had the sweet potato fries and grilled zucchini! Very delicious. If you are vegan, vegetarian or even gluten free they have options for you. They have a gluten free hamburger bun, which was great for us! Our teens like it too because they are also sensitive to sound, light and overwhelming visual environments.

First time at this location. The place needs updating. Some of the seats have rips and tears. Not enough servers here either the place was at the most 25% capacity but took the only server se time to get to me. I wanted the fish and chips but were put at 3:50 PM ordered the burger at 9.99. I agree with the reviewer who commented about the salad bar. I don't see $13.99 value for the "endless salad bar" . Ordered a seltzer with looks like old limes. This was the cheeseburger special. What do you think? Second time at this location. $6,49 Grilled fish special with French fries and seltzer with limes. Much better price and quality. Better experience.
