Mac & Nelli's

This is Cheers with a restaurant. Off Country Club it is a much bigger location than the original. They have a nice seating are for families or you can sit at the bar or one of many high tables. Wherever you sit there will be a TV for you to look at. Sports is on all the time and they will accommodate you when possible so you can watch your favorite teams. The drinks are great and the food menu has all the comfort food you can ask for like burgers, steaks, meatloaf, etc. I will suggest you get the drunken mushrooms as they are mini toasted bread slices with mushrooms in a delicate creamy sauce outed on top. Trust me you will want to lick the plate. The staff is friendly and the husband & wife owners treat everyone like family. Live music on the weekends is an added bonus.

Our service was good, the waitress was friendly, the food was delivered timely and it was nice and hot. The sweet potato jalapeno hush puppies were delicious, the steak was tasty, my salmon was cooked beautifully, and all our sides were great. I especially liked the kimchi slaw and the green beans. We will go back!

I gave this local restaurant a shot twice in order to support local businesses during the pandemic. The first time their phones were down and I went into the restaurant to order inside. The bartender who took my order was very new and argued with me about whether or not an item was on the menu still, until he realized his mistake. He told me that they had changed the menu and had not yet updated the website. About 6 months later I ordered again, and assumed that they had updated the menu on their website. They apparently had not, and my burger was completely different than what it said on their own website. The manager on duty told me they were supposed to update the website six months prior and offered to remake me something else, but I declined having already been out to pick up dinner. She then pushed and tried to offer me a meal at a future date instead of a refund, because she didn't know how to process a refund. I declined again. She said she would make a call to find out how to do a refund and then disconnected me from the call. My Husband will be calling back to complete our refund.

I ordered the Salmon - probably the best salmon I’ve had in a local restaurant - it had a thin sweet and savory sauce that really made it spectacular. My husband got the ribeye. He said it was cooked perfect and the bourbon sauce was really good. He thought for a $25 streak, it should have been thicker and he would have preferred a more seasoned steak, but that’s just his preference - he definitely ate it all. No steak ever rates as high as what we make at home on the grill - ever. We both had the mashed potatoes - these *real* mashed potatoes with a hint of garlic were delicious. The other sides were basic but fresh (green beans and some sort of medley that looked more like slaw). I’d definitely go back.

My husband and I returned this evening for dinner after new ownership, new menu, and renovations. We had stopped dining here a couple of years ago for various reasons when the previous owners still had it. I am sad to say that other than the new menu, nothing has changed. We were one table out of a handful of people at the bar and one other table of 3. The kitchen was out of several items on the menu, which I can understand given the tough time that the food industry has been going through over the past few months, but, after re-ordering....twice. It took 40+ minutes for us to get a burger and the meatloaf entree. Our waitress was attentive, the manager came over to apologize several times and she comped a glass of wine, but, no explanation was offered as to why it was taking so long for food. The food was mediocre. What topped off the evening, and, pretty much made us to decide not to return was the crowd at the bar spouting profanity at high volume and being overall disruptive. There was no effort by staff or management to contain this. We had high hopes that this would become a nice casual place to come out to for a nice dinner, but, unfortunately, we didn't recognize any changes from the previous ownership other than the menu.
