Dont usually write bad reviews, but will make an exception because I'm still perplexed by this "cafe". We went on the Australia Day Monday Holiday. Got charged a 10% surchage "to keep the cafe open today" but there were seemingly zero other staff working, so I don't know who that 10% is going to? By the time we got to the front (the cashier/barista/owner?) told us we could only order drinks and not food because there was "a wait for food". Why not just take the food order and prepare it when you get to it? We werent in a rush but she didnt even check, she just said no food. No alternative option besides cookies. What a joke. We asked for food items in the display cabinets but were told "no those need to be heated up". They weren't explicitly food that needed to be heated up, and if it did, how long does it take to run to the microwave? 30 seconds? Anyway, we ordered coffees, we were told it would be a 5 minute wait. By how flustered she was, we assumed 10-15. It took 35 minutes for a few coffees. Which were made individually and walked out to our table one by one. Many people walked out and your reaction to them and the other people who came in made it seem like you were upset that people were coming in to your cafe. If you can't handle simple things due to staffing, don't open. Don't charge 10% on the already inflated prices. Don't tell people itll be 5 minutes when you know it wont be. Because there are now so many people that morning, who will never come back, and tell their friends not to go. I really do hate being negative, and i dont wish the owners any ill fortune. However, when you charge people money, you have to be accountable for what you deliver.

Since this cafe has changed hands it has definitely gone downhill. No gluten free food anymore. I asked for a soy coffee, took it to the car and discovered it had no chocolate on top. When I took it back, the woman seemed annoyed at me for asking to have some chocolate! After I got back in my car I tasted it. It was so weak I could hardly tast the coffee. It was also nearly cold. I felt very annoyed but didn't go back because of her bad attitude and threw the coffee away. I will never go back there again
