The Spice Yard

This place should close down and it appears that there are clowns running the business that have no clue about serviceability. Ordered three dishes and was advised by staff that delivery would be half an hour. Got the food 2 hours late and was not hot. Advised by staff that the driver could not find the address and they tried to cover their tracks by saying the driver tried to call which was not accurate. We had ordered medium spicy food and in fact the food was mild. The food was floating in oil. Food inspectors should be called upon to inspect the place to ensure that the food they serve is serviceable.

Tried this restaurant with three friends this week. Wow! What delicious food. Everything was cooked to perfection, hot and so fresh. I am a vegan, but all effort was made to explain which food was suitable for me. Plus the staff were so pleasant and helpful. Cannot wait to return and let my family try the food as well. Thank you :-)

I recently had a much enjoyed girls luncheon at this place & I was so surprised at how wonderful the food was . I love to cook Indian food & I know my Indian pretty well & I always feel let down when going for a curry but honestly go and try this new place In Altona. You will be pleasantly surprised at there modern menu .. just let them feed you ! & make sure you try a variety of things like Lamb chops & Paneer which was my most favourite . The staff are also wonderful & very friendly ..we can’t wait to go back . Very well done !

I love spicy food. Ordered chicken vindaloo curry it was extremely spicy to be frank it was like eating red chilli. They offered us papad is . Chicken tikka was average. Very near to Altona railway station and also Altona beach. Might be the day I visited was the right one since POS was not working and they requested for cash which I hardly carry with me. Later they have bank details and transferred online. This place also have party hall.
