Nino's Pizza

1st time trying this place & it was actually pretty good! We ordered for pickup (luckily we did because when I got there to get it they had a sign posted on their door that says delivery/pickup only there dining area was closed. We weren't too fond of the plain cheese pizza (something just didn't sit right with us) BUT the deluxe, the pepperoni & the black olive pizza we ordered tasted pretty good. Will definitely be going again if we're back in the Avon area! I spoke to a woman who had purple hair who was super friendly/kind & made it a good experience!

Very small, quaint mom and pop style pizza place with subs, sandwiches, wraps etc. One of only a few places open on a Monday! Highly recommend the fried chicken, bacon and ranch wrap! It comes with fries and was the best I've ever had! My husband had the Italian sub that comes with chips and he said it was also very good! Definitely our go-to place in Avon!

We’re visiting the banks now. Walked in very welcoming, Maria is such a sweet heart, and has the island beauty lol. Very sweet and helpful, super kind, always seems to be smiling, and not letting multiple tables overwhelm her. Getting our food to go. Seems like a good place to come and it’s one restaurant here that’s not over priced.

3/26/2022 Nino's is always a great choice when I'm down in Avon. On my latest visit we stopped for lunch the day before the fishing tournament. We arrived around 1-2pm and had the entire restaurant to ourselves. Our server quickly took our drink orders and decided on their largest pie as there was four of us. This was a 20" Big Nino with Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Onions and Italian Sausage. I think it took about 15 minutes from placing our order for the meal to arrive on our table. I have to tell you it was a work of art. However, work of art or not, that pizzas time on this earth was short. Between the four of us that pizza didn't last 10 minute. All in all, a great meal. I never leave here unsatisfied. If you're down in Avon, NC and looking for some Pizza you cannot go wrong here. --------------------------------- 11/23/2017 I've eaten Nino's pizza several times over the years but it's always been delivery. This year while I was down in Avon / Hatteras for the annual fishing tourney we decided to stop by Nino's before leaving town. It was a lazy (and I do mean lazy) Sunday afternoon when we dropped in. The tourney was over and we were packed up and just about ready to leave when we decided to get some lunch first. As we came in through the door only one other table was seated and they looked like they were just about finished up. We grabbed a four top and started looking over the menu. Since there were 3 of us we decided on their largest pie which is a 20 inch pizza called the "Big Nino". We went with a Meatlover's set of toppings. The pie took about 15 minutes to make and once it arrived it was truly a thing of beauty. In short order we devoured most of the pie and I took the last couple of slices with me back to Chesapeake. I really enjoyed the pizza and in addition I love supporting the local businesses while I'm down in the OBX. I'll definitely be back.
