The food is fresh & great. Been coming here for a few years & praise must be given to the women at the counter. These two women keep an amazingly pleasant demeanor in the face of needy people & awful Texans. Good work, I know I couldn't be so seemingly positive. Calling all you fat cats to generously tip this crew

I’m going to update this but leave the old one. I gave them another shot and while it still isn’t what it used to be, they’ve hired back some of the front of the house staff that kept things moving and knew what was going on. They still don’t have all the same pastries which is unfortunate but understandable as the original baker is surely hard to replace. The food was much better this time! It seems they’ve taken some of the negative comments on here from long time patrons to heart and I appreciate the effort. *First review* I came here at least once a week, if not more, for years and it was the best lunch spot in the valley. After my recent visit, I’m done with this place. Since new ownership took over they don’t do free desert with lunch, the quality of the bread and sandwiches have diminished, they’ve done away with staple cookies and baked goods, and the once friendly staff no longer exists. I’m sad to post this as I think we’ve lost one of the last really good local spots.

Really cute, old-school bakery & deli. My daughter and I planned to share a sandwich, and when she said she wanted a steak sandwich, I was not super excited… until I ate it! It was probably the best steak sandwich I ever had. My other daughter loved her tuna sandwich. Everything was really tasty and clearly made with care. Great pastry selection at reasonable prices.
