Steak 'n Shake

I went thru the drive Thru and the customer service experience was HORRIBLE! Not in the least bit friendly I asked for ketchup the guy handed me 3 after ordering 2 double steak burger meals asked for more ketchup and was given one more packet like is this a joke? Our drinks barely had any ice and our Pattie’s weren’t even made properly. It’s a shame because I used to love steak and shake burgers this place has really gone down hill! I wonder who is running this place because they should be ashamed of how horrible it is!

Walked in to place a to go order after WATCHING someone else do it! This lady rudely says “drive through only” I asked if we could please place a order with her since we have our trailer and it won’t fit through the drive through. She wouldn’t even answer me, just starts shaking her head no. I said “are you being serious, it’s a no ?” She says “yep, no.” Great customer service Avon! I won’t be back. My husband and I just worked a 16 hour shift laying flooring and were starving. Literally everyone else around is closed! We live a little over an hour away and would have appreciated some dinner for the ride home.

We have been coming here to this location ever since they opened, and other locations before that. As if it wasn't bad enough that they no longer offer pepper jack cheese and their iconic baked beans, to add insult to injury, the burgers we ordered tonight are hands down the worst we've ever gotten from Steak N Shake, and some of the worst we've ever had period. To call them inedible would be a gross understatement. They were so greasy that they had soaked the takeout sack to the point the food almost fell through it. The sandwich wrappers were soaked clean through, and the buns were so saturated with grease as to be completely mushy. I tried to eat it but all I could taste was grease and it made me sick - literally. I ordered a triple with cheese, not a triple with grease. When I tried to call to speak to the manager, lo and behold, no one ever answered the phone. I don't think we will be returning. It's a real shame as this used to be one of my favorite burger joints but now they rank below Wendy's and McDonald's and that is just plain sad.

I'm not sure why the lady at the drive thru felt it was necessary to talk so fast that I thought she was on an upper, and even more unnecessary to cut me off multiple times while trying to place an order, but she was incredibly RUDE. They were not even busy. There are so many other places I could get a burger and be treated better. I'll definitely give my business to one of those places next time.

I came through the drive thru tonight and waited over 30 MINUTES before finally pulling up. The older black woman (brown hair in a ponytail) who claimed her name was ‘Doris’ stated that she didn’t hear us pull up. I say this to state that she told us to hold on and that she will be right with us. I yelled “HELLO”MULTIPLE times within that 30 minutes and did not receive an answer. I seen roughly 6/7 cars drive off behind me due to this woman NOT answering the drive thru window. When I pulled, she had the NASTIEST attitude and when I asked for the manager; she claimed she WAS THE MANAGER. I will be stopping in first thing tomorrow to speak to someone about this. I want to speak to the manager (even if it is her) and I want the contact information to the district manager. This is pathetic! I used to work at this location have never been treated like this and I WON’T let it slide.
