Avon Brewing Company

I'll start off by saying that we did not try their beer. This is strictly a food review. Service was great and menu choices are imaginative. The interior has been redecorated nicely. Overall, our food was served hot and was flavorful. The wings were HUGE. There were a couple items that were a bit disappointing. The tater tot appetizer was nothing more than you can make at home for about a dollar. Pub chips didn't seem to be freshly made. Deep fried Reuben was almost missing the corned beef flavor, being overpowered by the deep fried batter coating. The roast beef sandwich was tasty but probably too spicy for most people, and the bun was soggy. I still loved the flavor. Overall, the flavors developed here are hit and miss. I'm sure more taste-testing and feedback will result in revised menu items. Hope the owners find great success resulting from their efforts.

We love going here. Not only are their beers incredible especially their bourbon barrel aged Christmas beer, but their wings and custom-made burgers are great. It is very relieving to see a restaurant Take Hold in this specific building that has made it for a few years. Also the staff is very friendly. They are very kind and we’ve had a few repeat waiters and waitresses who have been very nice to her family. If you have a young family you will feel very comfortable going here even though it is a bar. The owner is also very present and very kind to customers

I heard the burgers were good here, so my group decided to stop for an early dinner. 5/7 of us got burgers and overall they were mediocre. The flavors were good and they had some interesting flavor combinations, but they were overpriced and overcooked. We all went with the 1/4 lb patties that came out very dry. They also offer a 1/2 lb but none of us wanted to go with that size. This would have been 2 stars, but the saving grace was the other 2 orders. One got the Nashville chicken and waffles and the other got some salad, and both said they were great! So might be worth a visit, just avoid the burgers or possibly consider the 1/2 lb, it may be better. Another negative, the app came out the same time as the food. Which is always a bummer and defeats the purpose of getting one.

This is a brewery/restaurant located on rt 254 in “ downtown” Avon. They have an excellent selection of beers. Our table selected the French creek pale ale and it was well done. Almost an IPA. Rated down one star for the worst sound system I have ever heard. All you could hear was the bass with the speakers above the door. They should throw this system away and invest in a decent quality sound system.
